Idyllic romantic bolt hole with sweeping views over the Somerset countryside, perfectly styled interiors and a luxurious hot tub.
Situated amongst the meadows and farmland of glorious Somerset, The Beam offers a sublime countryside retreat. Once an unassuming barn, a stunning renovation now heralds it as a chic bolthole with understated elegance at its heart. And the private hot tub and wood burning stove keeps things sumptuously romantic. Located just four miles outside the pretty Medieval city of Wells means you can dip in and savour its delights before retreating back to your rural idyll.
The open-plan layout is exquisitely put together with polished concrete flooring, underfloor heating and a feature steel beam adding plenty of wow factor. Flooded with light, the space is as welcoming as it gets - with a cosy sofa, flatscreen television and wood burning stove making the ideal backdrop to romantic nights in. And the charming dining area is great for an indulgent breakfast or intimate supper.
The elegant kitchen is sleek and modern with its perfectly styled shelves adding to its charm. On the more practical front this kitchen really delivers, with a built-in single electric oven and microwave, gas hob, full size fridge freezer, dishwasher, wine cooler, kettle, toaster and Nespresso coffee machine.
The bedroom is beautiful with a bespoke king size bed, stylish muted colour scheme and sublime cowry shell chandelier. And crisp white linen and floating concrete bedside tables keeps it all suitably chic. The ensuite is just as polished with a large walk-in rain shower, heated towel rail and fluffy bathrobes.
Outside there is a private patio complete with dining furniture and hot tub. Adorned with festoon lighting, it positively sparkles as the sun sets, making a glittering end to any evening.
Located just four miles from the city of Wells (England’s smallest city courtesy of its stunning Medieval cathedral), you get the best of both town and country. It’s a charming place to explore with quaint cobbled streets, Medieval architecture and a bustling marketplace (market days being on Wednesday and Saturday). With plenty of independent shops and fabulous eateries to sample, you can easily while away an afternoon here. And once you’re done exploring you get to head back to your own secluded hideaway.
