St. Anne's Manor is a marvellous home for 10, concealed behind towering walls near the heart of Torquay. Nestled within over three acres of meticulously maintained gardens, this Victorian mansion exudes the charm of a bygone era. Despite its Victorian, the interior reveals a sleek, modern aesthetic. Boasting five bedrooms, five bathrooms and the capacity to host up to 10 people, St. Anne's is an ideal retreat for family gatherings and seaside getaways. Add to this the cedar hot tub in the garden and the firepit for toasting marshmallows and you've got yourself a wonderful retreat for all.
St. Anne's seamlessly blends 21st-century sophistication with a timeless ambiance that helps you and your loved ones relax and unwind in style. The left wing of the entrance hallway leads to two main reception rooms overlooking the gardens. The grand drawing room serves as a stylish gathering spot, while the smaller room features a pool table for those with a competitive edge.
Turning right from the hallway guides you down a passage to the expansive kitchen. This is an immense space adorned with bespoke hand-painted units, an impressive array of appliances and a communal dining table for guests to savour meals together. Adjacent to the kitchen is a secondary kitchen, a TV room with plush seating and the property's gym.
Reflecting the home’s opulence, the kitchen is equipped with top-tier appliances, including a Miele Coffee espresso maker, Miele microwave, two Miele dishwashers, and a Gaggenu electric oven. A second kitchen, known as The Butler's Kitchen, houses additional amenities, including another electric oven, fridge, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer.
Ascending the sweeping staircase to the upper hallway, adorned with a magnificent glass-domed ceiling, you encounter the luxurious bedrooms. The master bedroom, with a sumptuous super-king bed, overlooks the gardens and features an ensuite with a bath, shower and twin basins. Bedrooms two through five offer a variety of sleeping arrangements, each accompanied by well-appointed bathrooms.
St. Anne's has a fabulous, expansive garden, surpassing three acres, which is a rarity among Torquay's original villas. Enclosed by walls and an electric gate, the garden allows children to explore safely.
Outside you also have your own outdoor kitchen, perched on a platform with cooking appliances, furniture and sails for sun protection. Please note, this facility is seasonal and contingent on settled, dry weather during a guest's stay. Outside is also where you'll find the cedar hot tub, the ideal place to relax and unwind in the warm water come the evening. And after you've enjoyed an indulgent soak you can light the firepit and stay cosy and warm around the flames gazing up at the night sky above.
Exclusive to adults over 18, the property boasts its own gym featuring a treadmill, cross trainer, free weights and a workout bench so you’ll be able to get your heart going during your stay and start the day with a nice workout.
