A beautifully renovated barn, finished to an exceptionally high standard, overlooking striking grounds and farmland. It is the ideal location to stop and unwind - perfectly situated for walkers, cyclists, bird watchers, music lovers and those wishing to visit Suffolk’s sunrise coast.
Located on the outskirts of the village of Peasenhall (famed for its roaming peacocks), Snow Hall Barn is set adjacent to the owner’s stunning 15th century farmhouse, accessed via a 300m long private drive from the road, with unhindered views of the surrounding countryside.
The Barn offers spacious accommodation for four guests – with two double bedrooms and one bathroom on the ground floor and a large, comfortable, open-plan room above.
A perfect base to explore this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, with a footpath behind the barn leading directly onto the Sibton Estate. Peasenhall and Sibton villages are only half a mile by road, offering a village pub called The White Horse, two butchers, a local store and an antiques shop.
Approximate travel time is 2 hours from London by car and 1.5 hours from Cambridge with the nearest railway stations being Ipswich or Darsham (4 miles away).
Nearby Southwold is a quintessential seaside resort, famous for its well maintained, colourful beach huts. Start at the pier, where there are gift shops and The Boardwalk Café, before passing through the old fashioned penny arcade. Outside is a sandy beach and a boating lake for pedalos, a crazy golf course and a small children’s park on the other. View the beach huts as you walk on the promenade towards the town. In the town there are old fashioned sweet shops, gift stores, art galleries and plenty of cafes and pubs as well as butchers, bakers, grocery stores and a cheese shop. There is a passenger ferry (a rowing boat!) to cross to Walberswick. The lighthouse is occasionally open for tours and for beer lovers, the Adnams brewery books tours as well. The brewery has a store and café at the far end of town. Keep walking to see the Water Tower in the midst of an open field overlooking the sea.
