Perched on a hill overlooking the sea, with incredible views out over the isles of Mull and Shuna, this marvellous retreat offers groups of up to eight guests a delightful stay in Argyle and Bute. This charming home offers up a striking blend of glass and wood with a design that creates a Scandinavian-inspired vibe, inviting the outdoors in with expansive windows that showcase the landscape in all seasons.
The airy, open-plan interiors enhance the connection to nature, letting you immerse yourself in the beauty of the surroundings and guests will love the expansive family room and chef-worthy kitchen. The beautiful kitchen features bespoke white cabinetry, granite countertops, integrated appliances and a central island where you can perch with a drink in hand as your loved one prepares dinner. Sliding doors lead to a spacious deck, complete with stylish outdoor furniture and a built-in fire pit for those cool evenings. Also out here you’ll find your six-person hot tub, ideal for an indulgent evening soaking in the spectacular sea vistas.
Stepping upstairs, the open-plan sitting room is filled with natural light and offers a large corner sofa, perfect for unwinding. The sliding doors lead out to a glass-fronted balcony where you can make the most of the views, overlooking manicured gardens and the stunning coastal scenery beyond. This is an ideal place to sit with a morning coffee as you soak in your surroundings.
Adjacent to the lounge, a spacious bedroom with a king size bed and an additional single bed provides plenty of space for kids to play. The master suite, also on the first floor, boasts a chic ensuite with a Villeroy Boch four-piece bathroom, including a walk-in shower. On the ground floor, you'll find two more generously sized double bedrooms, plus a sleek bathroom featuring another walk-in shower.
There’s also a fully equipped utility room, complete with an extra fridge and freezer for your convenience.
Stepping outside, you’ll find a beautifully landscaped garden, where there’s a charming Scandinavian BBQ cabin – a perfect retreat for gathering with friends and family. Designed to comfortably seat 10, with reindeer hide seating, it’s just 50 meters from the main house. Step inside and experience a cosy, unique setting for unforgettable moments together.
If you venture out and see what the local area has to offer, you can explore local hills and coastlines with gentle walks or venture further into Argyll’s trails, including forest paths, lochs and munros.
For a unique view, try a pony trek from Lunga Riding Stables, just five minutes from Scone Cottage. Bring your bike and enjoy forestry trails in Argyll Park. Anglers can fish in over 20 lochs or Loch Awe for wild brownies, trout and more. Fishing permits are available locally, and guides like Duncan Pepper offer expert assistance.
