Elegant and chic interiors, cosy furnishings and boutique bathing - guests staying at Penhein Glamping will be delighted with their luxury experience amongst the Monmouthshire hills in South Wales. Surrounded by peaceful woods, farmland and fields, this really is the place to escape to nature, not having to sacrifice on comfort or indeed style. Sleeping up to five guests, each impressive, custom-made Persian tent boasts a deluxe double bed (or twins if needed), two truckle beds and a sofa bed. They each have a kitchen with running water and a wood-burning stove. And thanks to its rural location, guests can truly unwind and be at peace with the gorgeous surroundings, taking life at a slow and steady pace. But if relaxation is not on the cards, there is a huge amount of adventure to be had nearby, too.
Each of these eight Persian tents benefits from extra high ceilings, creating an airy and light ambience throughout. The lavish furnishings and interior design make this space one that is hard to leave. Bathed in plenty of natural light and surrounded by lush green scenery, guests will always feel close to nature during their stay. Practicalities are not an afterthought at Penhein either, with each tent coming with a well-equipped kitchen and en-suite loo. Guests staying at three of the tents (Castroggi, Cae Solomon and The Park) have access to their very own private hot showers, located just outside their tent. This offers added luxury and privacy that few glamp sites are able to match! Guests staying at the remaining five tents have access to a luxurious shower block, complete with underfloor heating and hot monsoon showers. Each tent is allocated one of the showers within the block so you won't be sharing individual showers. And on top of that, guests staying at The Coombe even have their own private roll top bath tub for added indulgence.
Wild cooking is encouraged here, with everything needed to whip up a wholesome meal under the stars. But if preparing meals is the last thing on your mind, the handy Cheat's Kitchen is also available to make use of.
Guests would be forgiven for not wanting to leave the site, whiling away the days in the peaceful setting they find themselves in. However, itchy feet are also well catered for, with some of Wales' most adventurous activities on the doorstep. Beautiful wildflower meadow walks, nature trails and gorgeous gardens can all be visited easily, while history and geography lovers can discover the local caves, castles and coal mines. An array of country pubs serving up traditional grub can be found locally.
Please note: minimum stay for this property is: 2 nights low season & 3 nights high season
