The 'Long Beach' American School Bus is big, yellow, full of fun and happy vibes, and is perfectly situated at the gorgeous Petruth campsite close to several fantastic beaches and a food shack. There's room for kids to go wild, and adults to chill with a cold beverage in the sun. During the summer you'll also find stone baked pizza nights and some pretty delicious ice cream on sale. All in all this delightful bus glamping experience would be many happy memories in the making for friends, families, couples and really anyone who enjoys some high end glamping in a fun and cool bus.
The bus itself was still in use as recently as 2021 and has now been wonderfully converted to provide exceptional comfort, plenty of space for up to six people and all the luxurious extras to make your holiday truly fabulous.
When you arrive you'll find the bus pretty easily, it is after all, massive and yellow. The interior is so vibrant and cheerful you'll immediately know that you're on holiday! It has a slightly hippie vibe with lots of happy bright colours, a large futon draped in a throw, a big table where you can sit and eat with the view through the windows and a fully fitted, rather impressive kitchen area. Pop your beers and wine in the fridge, get the ice in the freezer and enjoy a welcome drink out in the sun.
In the summer you can slide open all the windows and open the back door to create a lovely breeze to keep you all cool. In the winter you'll find underfloor heating, the eco wood burner and even an electric blanket to keep you toasty as a marshmallow.
Sleeping arrangements are comfortable and relaxed with a king size bed, two large bunk beds and the aforementioned futon sofa double bed and the hosts have provided plenty of fluffy duvets, sheets and pillows for all.
In the morning you can enjoy a hot shower in the bus and there's a proper toilet too. The campsite has facilities as well if you don't want to queue.
Head out with your first coffee, light up the gas BBQ and enjoy an alfresco breakfast. If you can't be bothered with cooking there's a great food shack on the campsite where you can enjoy good coffee, breakfast butties and a panini.
There's plenty to keep kids occupied on the site with a family field and and activity area. You can settle in at the picnic benches with a G&T and watch them go mad in a safe environment. Treat yourself to an ice cream from 'Kev the Ice-Man' and get together for stone baked pizza night on Friday from June to the end of August.
Spend your days exploring the nine local beaches or head into the nearby village for restaurants, takeaways and an icy pint at one of the excellent pubs. Stock up on food at the farm shop, hire an e-bike, do some kayaking or wild swimming and treat yourself to the Alpaca Experience! There's something for everyone and you will never be bored. End the day with a BBQ and cocktails as the sun sets on your big yellow bus.
