You’ll find Outlaw’s Guest House at the top of the charming village of Port Isaac, overlooking the rugged coast of North Cornwall. This nine room, newly refurbished Victorian guest house is a haven for foodies. Included in the price of your room, you’ll get breakfast and afternoon bakes for two, as well as dinner at one of Outlaw’s two outstanding fish restaurants. It’s the perfect spot to get a taste of Cornwall, with miles of beautiful coastline to explore, a bustling fishing village on your doorstep and locally sourced seafood served up in the evening.
This recently refurbished Victorian building now features nine individual guest rooms, all beautifully furnished in a contemporary style. The nature of the building means that each room is unique, some with balconies overlooking the sea, others with sweeping views up the coast. Most of the rooms feature luxurious king size beds, while the cosy ‘Room Three’ features a double, perfectly positioned so you can sip a cup of tea in bed while enjoying the sea view.
As you start the day, you’ll be greeted with a delicious, seasonally inspired breakfast. Just as with the restaurants, the menu changes as the fresh Cornish produce available changes throughout the seasons. Expect delicious homemade breads, pastries, compotes and preserves. After a leisurely breakfast, head out to explore the coastal paths, beaches and Port Isaac’s beautiful harbour.
Back at the Outlaw’s Guest House, the cosy resident’s lounge is the perfect spot to relax with a drink from the honesty bar, or head up to the terrace to take in the sunset over the sea. Choose between dinner at Outlaw’s New Road restaurant, where you’ll find dishes inspired by Cornwall's coast and countryside, or Outlaw’s Fish Kitchen. Here, you can enjoy a set seafood menu of small dishes served up as soon as they’re ready with a focus on quality and sustainability. After dinner, it’s just a short stroll back to your room at the Guest House.
Port Isaac is a fantastic base for exploring the north coast of Cornwall. Start by strolling through the winding streets of the village itself with its pretty whitewashed cottages and watch the fishermen coming and going in the picturesque harbour. For panoramic views of the cliffs and the sea, head out along the coastal path in either direction or hop on a boat trip to enjoy it all from the water. Head further north to visit Tintagel Castle to discover Arthurian legends or the bustling town of Padstow is just down the coast to the south, where you’ll find more fantastic restaurants and a pretty harbour.
