This home is located on the lower ground floor, so it doesn't get a lot of natural light.

With its New York-like appeal (think exposed brickwork), paired with a minimalist aesthetic and black-and-white photography, it’s needless to say that On Balance is special. It’s a little small (you have to share one bathroom), but we’re willing to look past that minor detail.

The open plan living space is quaint and cosy with a corner sofa and a dining table for six. The beautiful brick walls and ceiling give the space plenty of character and tucked around the corner is the small, but stylish kitchen.

There are three bedrooms, all of which feature the same sleek stylish design and nice comfy double beds. Guests all share the same bathroom, which features a WC, wash basin and a nice shower.

The apartment may be small, but it is in a great location. Tucked away in between some of Berlin’s most famous, and most important, sites, it’s great for travellers looking to explore the city’s historic side. You’ll find lots of art galleries, museums, and the Berlin Wall Memorial within walking distance.

Mitte is the heart of Berlin - where it all began. Packed with some of Berlin’s most popular tourist attractions, it goes without saying that there’s plenty going on in this part of the city - Brandenburger Gate, Berliner Dom, the Reichstag, the Holocaust Memorial, and the cluster of museums on Museum Island are all located within the Mitte neighbourhood making it easy to see a lot in a short time. As a diverse mix of corporate office buildings and residential apartment complexes, Mitte is primarily populated by affluent people, old and young, families and singles. Despite being a busy part of the city, it also offers an antidote to all the hustle and bustle with atmospheric attractions like Hackescher Markt as well as the stunning walking paths along the picturesque Spree River. If you aren’t scared of heights, the iconic TV tower on Alexanderplatz offers a spinning restaurant with breath-taking views of Berlin.
