Nestled in its own private patch of pleasingly maintained Oxfordshire greenery, Ace of Clubs is a spacious contemporary cottage offering accommodation for up to six guests between three bedrooms. Popular with families of all ages and friend groups looking to explore the charming and unspoiled greater Oxfordshire area, Ace of Clubs is the ultimate getaway for anybody looking to unwind in comfort. Whatever your reason for coming to town, whether you're an outdoors enthusiast looking forward to a long weekend of rambling, a family hoping to get to know the region better, or a group of old friends reuniting for the quintessential English cottage experience, you're bound to have a blast at Ace of Clubs.
The property itself has been painstakingly decorated inside and out, creating a stylish and luxurious space, the sort of property which you look forward to coming home to after a long day spent exploring the gardens, trails and pubs of the Great Tew area. The kitchen offers everything you could possibly want to whip up a feast for hungry holidaymakers, whether you're preparing a hearty brunch to set the family up for the day, packing a picnic to bring with you on a lengthy hike or cooking a celebratory evening meal for a close friend group.
A separate dining room faces out over your private patio and beyond, while also on the first floor you'll find the sitting room, with ultra-comfy sofas facing a large movie-night style television, in a room heated by a wood-burning stove. The bedrooms are large and benefit from the same aesthetic as the rest of the cottage, with neutral tones, judicious decoration, and above all a commitment to comfort and elegance. The first two have double beds and the final bedroom is made up with twin singles which can easily be converted to a double for couples. The cottage's original timber beams are exposed overhead and large windows look out over the surrounding village.
Days at Ace of Clubs are typically spent in leisurely relaxation, with a slow start to the day over coffee and local pastries. Strike out on one of the dozens of lengthy and easier hiking routes which snake past the village, or set off into the centre of Great Tew for an artisan ice cream at the well-stocked local deli. There are dozens of quaint country pubs in the surrounding region, and for an excellent Sunday roast with a local pint of ale, set off for Falkland Arms, just a short stroll away. For a celebratory meal on a special occasion, the Soho Farmhouse is an unforgettable dining experience, and can be reached in less than ten minutes by car.
