Perched in a quiet field on the outskirts of Bramshott, with sweeping views of the local countryside, Olive is a former Dublin Double Decker bus, painstakingly converted into a kooky and unique self-catering space. This is the ideal holiday spot for visitors to North East Hampshire who want to stay somewhere a little different. With every high end amenity you need for a trip to the countryside, Olive is a great alternative to the usual hotels and cottages.
On the first floor of the bus, a full kitchen has been fitted with a refrigerator, oven, and gas and electric hobs. There is a sitting and dining area here as well, from which you can look out over the grazing wildlife, and take in the rare birds which frequent the region. This floor also contains the full wet room and separate lavatory. There is even a wood-burning stove to ensure that you and your fellow ‘passengers’ are cosy regardless of the season.
The sleeping quarters are upstairs on the upper deck, configured as an open plan living space with a double bed, and versatile options to suit different combinations of couples and individuals. In total, five guests can be accommodated, and all berths benefit from stunning vistas of the Hampshire topography.
In addition to the surprisingly spacious and cleverly designed interior of the bus itself, you also have the run of the private paddock it is set in. Judicious outside furniture choices have been made, and the natural appeal of the meadow has been enhanced by the addition of a full patio. This offers you the perfect place to relax with a cocktail after a day of exploring, before heading up to bed on your very own converted bus. Also outside is a barbecue which you’re encouraged to use, and a fire-pit, the ultimate outdoor living accessory, transfusing every evening with magic and romance.
Olive is a great place for couples, groups of friends, and families to stay. All you really need is good company, good books, and good food to have a great time away. A truly beautiful and secluded country walk runs right past Olive’s field, leading around three magnificent lakes and a famous wishing well, steeped in local lore. Carry on striding and ramble through the pastures of Bramshott and Ludshott, largely designated countryside which you’re free to roam and take in. Set off in the other direction and you’ll hit the brilliant Prince of Wales gastropub within half an hour. By car, the staggering views of the Devils Punch Bowl can reached in five minutes, while the Hollycombe Steam Collection is another awe-inspiring day out.

Leave a reviewAbsolutely loved my stay on Olive, she's an utter beauty, deceptively spacious, Bob is a total star, nothing is too much trouble. It's a very peaceful location. I have a young family with two toddlers. Bob was very honest with me before I booked and warned me about the log burner etc but I decided to book and was glad I did. The kids loved the bus and the country walks or bear hunts! My teen loved watching the horses and I was well at home getting my cave man on with the fire. Hope to see you again one day Olive :)

What a fantastic place to stay! It totally exceeded our expectations, with the amount of space, how cosy it was and how many creature comforts are packed into this awesome bus! We all slept so well in the very comfy beds and little touches like the heated towel rail and delicious fruit loaf left out for us all really made it so memorable. The weather was awful but it didn't matter, sitting inside with the leaves and rain whirling around outside made it feel even more cosy. Great walk on the doorstep to the Wells/lakes and v friendly Prince of Wales pub half an hours walk away. Loved it, and have highly recommended it to all our friends already! P. S. The drivers cab toilet was possibly the best bit of the whole weekend

What an amazing setting for this accommodation. Has everything you need for a relaxing stay. The owner explained everything and is on hand close-by. Spotlessly clean, utencils available to cook there as well as a handy bbq/fire pit. Will definately stay again. And a very "Cool stay".
