Nestled in the stunning landscapes of the South Downs and the River Arun Valley, A Barn at South Downs is a beautiful barn that offers groups of up to eight guests a fantastic stay that blends luxury and creative comfort. This marvellous barn is ideal for groups of friends or family getaways with children over five, and offers breathtaking views that invite you to relax and unwind in nature’s embrace.
Once you arrive be sure to explore the impressive timber barn, gathering around the handcrafted dining table with a coffee as you plot the days ahead. The grand open plan living space features a superb, modern kitchen with a spacious island where you can perch with a drink and keep your designated chef company. Guests can enjoy meals at the dining room or take them alfresco in the peaceful garden while soaking in the surrounding beauty.
You can also head up to the glass mezzanine lounge area where you can chat over a glass of wine whilst enjoying the spectacular views of the surrounding scenery.
The barn offers three fabulous bedrooms for you to choose from. The first of the three rooms is the Owl & Kite Room, which offers couples truly a standout experience. This space boasts breathtaking open-plan views of the River Arun Valley from both the sumptuous super-king bed and the luxurious Victoria & Albert Toulouse double-ended bath, perfect for a soothing soak. The room also features a spacious rain shower, a stylish symmetry vanity and a discreet hidden WC.
Embrace comfort in the Swan & River Room, complete with a king size sleigh bed and a cosy lounge area featuring a settee that transforms into a small double bed for extra guests. Double patio doors invite you to enjoy breakfast overlooking the enchanting wildflower meadow.
This room includes a chic ensuite with a spacious walk-in shower, designed for easy access, making it perfect for everyone. It’s an excellent family room option, with a sofa bed wide enough to comfortably sleep two children or one adult.
Bright and airy, the Rabbit & Hare Room is a delightful small double space, thoughtfully furnished with all your essential amenities, including an ensuite with a rejuvenating rain shower. Conveniently located next to the dining hall, this room offers direct access to an outdoor terrace, where you can bask in the stunning views of the South Downs National Park.

Exclusive use of A Barn at South Downs Stay includes 3 double bedrooms, large modern fully fitted kitchen/dining space, 2 mezzanine lounges, garden patios, boot room with W.C. Additional space for 2 small children or 1 adult on a sofa bed (optional). All rooms have spectacular views.
Minimum stay for exclusive use is 3 nights. Prices are from £336 per night for 2 guests midweek* and just £428 per night for up to 6 guests staying a whole week in 2024 and 2025.
Mid-week hire between Monday to Thursday nights (*30% mid-week discount 2 people using only one bedroom):
