If you and your loved ones are looking for a peaceful retreat from which to explore the incredible South Downs National Park then this charming cottage might just be for you. Badgers Cottage offers groups of up to six guests (plus two more on a sofa bed) a delightful stay across three nicely appointed bedrooms. The home offers a fabulous mix of modern style and rustic charm, with huge high ceilings, exposed wooden beams and brickwork walls.

The main social hub of this home is the fantastic open plan living area. This fabulous, contemporary space features a comfy lounge area with a wood-burning fireplace and huge windows that flood the room with natural light. These huge glass doors also open up allowing the living space to blend seamlessly with the secluded garden, offering indoor-outdoor living in summer. The lounge area features luxurious furnishings and pendant lighting, whilst a flat-screen TV, sound system and complimentary WiFi are also on hand.

The living area also encompasses a stylish and modern kitchen, with everything you’ll need to prepare delicious feasts during your stay. There are a whole host of modern appliances and even a wine fridge. When dinner’s ready, you can gather around the rustic dining table which comfortably seats your whole group, or take your meals alfresco in the garden, breathing in the fresh country air!

There are three sets of bi-fold doors that open onto the decking, and outside there’s the dining area as well as some comfy outdoor seating where you can settle in with an evening tipple as the sun sets above. There’s even a fire pit so you can stay toasty and warm as the stars come out above.

As night falls, the home offers three lovely bedrooms that all guarantee a peaceful night’s sleep. One of the bedrooms features a king size bed, one is a double and the last one is a twin, offering plenty of flexibility. Plantation shutters adorn the windows, blocking light for indulgent lie-ins. There’s also a fabulous family bathroom with a freestanding copper bath for relaxing soaks!

Step out of your front door and into the enchanting Hesworth Common, where you can explore picturesque woodlands, enjoy a picnic or find a traditional country pub. Local farm shops and an award-winning convenience store are just a stroll away, offering fresh, local produce. For more variety, nearby villages like Pulborough, Petworth and Arundel offer historic pubs, boutique shops and local attractions.
