Situated on a beautiful manor in rural Cornwall, Manor Cottage offers couples a romantic retreat in picturesque surroundings. Once the scullery to the manor, this cottage has now been lovingly transformed into a cosy bolthole for two, with original art and characterful touches throughout.
Spend afternoons relaxing in the fabulous lounge, with its wood-burning fireplace ensuring you both stay toasty and warm whatever the weather outside. Get comfy on the sofa as you tuck into a good book, or spend the evening chatting with your loved one as the flames flicker on the fire.
Also on the ground floor is the kitchen, which is equipped with all of the modern appliances you’ll need to cook up delicious meals during your stay. The kitchen also has a cute dining table for two which sets the scene for romantic meals and in summer you can dine together on the alfresco dining table in the peaceful south-facing garden. If you fancy grilling up some delicious Cornish produce, then you’re in luck, as the garden also has a BBQ for you to make use of during your stay.
Back inside, head upstairs to find the fab vaulted double bedroom with its luxury pocket-sprung Goodchild and Palmer mattress. This peaceful bedroom, with an exposed stonework wall and wooden beams, is a cosy and tranquil setting for a good night’s sleep. In the morning head to the shower on the ground floor before setting out to explore the area. White Company towels are provided for your use during your stay.
If you wish to venture out there’s lots to see and do nearby. Explore the Roseland Heritage Coast, known for its stunning beaches, coastal walks and charming villages like St. Mawes.
For history lovers, visit East Pool Mine to discover Cornwall’s rich mining past. Enjoy scenic hikes at Carn Brea with panoramic views of the countryside. Head to Tehidy Country Park for peaceful woodland trails and wildlife spotting and the Portreath Beach area is perfect for surfing or relaxing by the sea.
