Kinkell Byre is known as a stunning wedding venue and they are now also offering ten self-catering holiday cabins, each sleeping two, all with spectacular views of the sea. These coastal hideaways would be ideal for couples, travelling friends or those with a craving for sea air and peace.
The wooden cabins are new and contemporary with a large window looking out to sea, surrounded by beautiful land that is currently being rewilded.
They are simply decorated with a small kitchenette complete with microwave, kettle, fridge and toaster – just right for that early morning coffee and a lazy breakfast before you head out to explore the surroundings.
Beneath the window with its lovely view is a table for two where you can sip your coffee and take in the sea and sky.
A large and comfortable double bed with crisp bedding is tucked behind a low dividing wall and can be split to make two singles if required.
There's a smart modern en-suite with a shower to wake you up and all linen and towels are included.
These cabins are perfect for those seeking a place to rest their head and refresh before heading out on an adventure. And with Wifi included you can always spend an evening relaxing on the bed with a bottle of wine while watching a film on your laptop.
Spend the morning strolling along the coast and treat yourself to a toastie at the Cheesy Toastie Shack at East Sands. Or see what's on at the Byre Theatre, a short walk away.
If you're keen to know a little more about Kintell Byre, the hosts offer rewilding walking tours where you can meet and feed their beautiful Highland Cows, Coco & Ginger, and learn about the importance of rewilding and how it will benefit the land at Kinkell.
If you fancy taking in the local colour you should definitely spend an evening at Forgan's, a local favourite where you can enjoy wonderful food and plenty of nice drinks in a lovely atmosphere - and if you're lucky you might even get to attend one of their famous ceilidhs!
The Saint Bar & Restaurant is also worth a visit for cosy modern dining and a drink at the bar. And Hams Hame Pub and Grill is nestled beneath the iconic Hamilton Grand building, next to the 18th green of the world’s most famous golf course. This is the place to go if you fancy watching some sports and eating some delicious local food. It's also a great spot for an afternoon tea and slice of cake. Sample some gins at the Eden Distillery and enjoy the wonderful beaches including West Sands and Kingsbarns.
