Perched on the banks of the Lake of Menteith in the Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park, this waterfront lodge offers guests the chance to unwind amidst some stunning scenery.
Wake up to breathtaking views across the water with Ben Lomond rising in the distance. Enjoy breakfast on the deck before heading out to explore some of the spectacular landscapes that surround the lodge in every direction. In the evenings, snuggle up in the stylish living area and watch the sunset over the lake through the floor-to-ceiling windows.
This larch-clad A-frame lodge has recently been renovated to combine Scandinavian design with plenty of Scottish charm. Step inside and you’ll immediately be drawn to the huge sliding glass doors that flood the space with natural light and offer uninterrupted views over the lake and mountains beyond. On sunny days, open up these doors and extend your living space outside, enjoying your meals alfresco on the private patio. On chilly evenings, it becomes a cosy refuge where you can sit back on the big comfy sofa and enjoy the view as you get stuck into some board games or a good film on TV.
There are three bedrooms sleeping up to six guests in a single and two doubles, making the lodge perfect for families or small groups. The twin room downstairs and one of the doubles upstairs have views over the forest to the back of the lodge. The second double overlooks the lake with French windows that open out onto a Juliet balcony. You’ll be able to open up the curtains in the morning and sip a cup of tea while you soak up the scenery, all from the comfort of your king size bed. There are two bathrooms, a shower room upstairs and a larger family bathroom downstairs. This is where you’ll find a lovely freestanding bath and a shower that doubles as a steam room, perfect for relaxing after a day exploring the outdoors.
You’ll find plenty to do right on your doorstep with the lake offering activities such as fishing and paddleboarding. The shore and the woods around the lodge are home to a wide variety of wildlife, from deer to otters to pine martens. Go for a stroll along the trails and you might be lucky enough to spot some of them. You might be inspired by the views of Ben Lomond to lace up your walking boots and do a bit of hill walking. You’ll be rewarded with stunning views over the surrounding mountains and glens. If you fancy a change of scene, Edinburgh and Glasgow are both within easy reach for a day trip.
Please note: minimum stay for this property is: 2 nights low season & 7 nights high season
