This modern, striking retreat sits on the edge of a marvellous lake in rural Stirlingshire. Huge windows flood the spaces with natural light, perfectly framing the amazing lake views, allowing you to make the most of your beautiful surroundings during your stay. Sleeping up to six guests, Cormorant is ideal for groups of friends or family who want to unwind in style.
Cormorant is part of a collection of lakeside lodges, which all sit by the water’s edge making the most of the tranquil location. The main social hub of the home is the open plan living space. This is a stylishly designed room, with bright, vibrant colours, high ceilings and giant windows that offer lovely lake views. Gather here and enjoy a glass of wine at the sleek dining table that sits next to the windows offering a great place to dine with a view. The dining table sits opposite the stylish kitchen, which has all the modern amenities required to make meal preparation a breeze.
Tucked away at one end of the living space is a cosy lounge area, where a corner sofa offers a great spot to unwind with a morning coffee enjoying the view or an evening in front of the TV watching your favourite movie. If you fancy a moment of peace away from the rest of the group you could head upstairs, where a peaceful snug offers a great place to sit with a book overlooking the lake.
Stepping outside, you’ll find the garden and patio, where you can breathe in the fresh country air as you enjoy an evening tipple. Throw logs on the firepit and stay toasty and warm as the stars come out above.
Back inside, Cormorant has three superbly designed, unique bedrooms, that make use of bold wallpaper, vibrant colour schemes and super-comfy furnishings. Each room has its own character, and each offers a peaceful night’s rest. The property also features modern bathrooms for added convenience, one of which has a striking and luxurious free-standing bathtub for indulgent soaks after a day exploring the area.
Cormorant is a part of the amazing Lochend Estate, alongside a number of other properties. However, it is the last building and is secluded by a gorse hedge, the lake, a burn and a fence ensuring it is totally private.
If you wish to venture out and explore the area, there’s lots to see and do. However, if you stay at Lochend you can make the most of the lake, right outside your lodge that is perfect for sunset views, osprey spotting, picnics, rowing or a refreshing swim. Beyond the lake, there’s plenty to enjoy on the estate, such as cook schools, fishing, paddleboarding, stargazing and more.
Heading further afield, you’re ideally placed to explore Queen Elizabeth Forest Park and Loch Lomond. Both offer a perfect blend of natural beauty and outdoor adventure. Nestled in the Trossachs National Park, the forest park boasts tranquil woodlands, scenic trails and stunning views of rolling hills. Enjoy peaceful walks, wildlife spotting or picnicking amidst lush greenery. Nearby, Loch Lomond, Scotland’s largest freshwater lake, invites you to explore its shimmering waters by kayak, boat or paddleboard.
Please note: minimum stay for this property is: 2 nights low season & 5 nights high season
