Nestled in the valley of Hadspen, in a peaceful five-acre field, you can wake up to the sound of birdsong, feel revitalised by the fresh country air and enjoy countryside views from your private veranda.
Each solar-powered lodge is decorated in its own unique style and is named after a local quarry. Whether you choose Horsecombe Lodge, Lime Kiln Lodge or Grisway Lodge, you’re sure to have an off-the-grid adventure to remember.
At the heart of each homely lodge you’ll find an open-plan living room, which boasts comfy sofas, perfect for relaxing on after a long countryside walk, and a wood-burning stove to keep you cosy in the cooler months. The fully-equipped kitchen areas have everything you need to whip up hearty breakfast, leisurely lunch or delicious dinner and for an authentic culinary experience, you can purchase a hamper of locally-sourced produce to be delivered to your lodge.
When night-time falls, each lodge has separate bedrooms with proper beds to help aide a good night’s sleep. And when you wake up in the morning, you can enjoy a coffee while soaking up the views before jumping in the refreshing shower to re-energise for the day ahead.
While the inside of each lodge provides a welcoming space to relax and enjoy quality time with your guests, the outdoor area is equally inviting. Here you can savour the spectacular countryside views across the picturesque Mendip Hills, fire up the BBQ for a flame-grilled feast or watch the sun go down with your favourite drink in hand. And if you’re staying in Lime Kiln Lodge, you’ll also have your own private wood-fired hot tub to enjoy.
Hadspen Glamping is located between the market towns of Bruton and Castle Cary, where you’ll find quirky shops, art galleries and restaurants. You’ll also have the award-winning tourist attraction The Newt In Somerset on your doorstep. Located in the beautiful grounds of Hadspen House, this popular country estate boasts a farm shop, museum, Roman villa, garden café and picturesque orchards.
