Luxurious canvas lodges for families of up to eight, with fire pits, set within private meadows in the glorious Isle of Wight countryside.
The canvas lodges at Glamping the Wight Way, Isle of Wight, combine the fun of camping with luxuries like roll top baths, decks with swinging sofas and large Kadai fire pits. Set in beautiful countryside, close to beaches, the lodges make the perfect destination for family glamping.
As you approach your lodge, the first thing you’ll notice is the sense of spaciousness both inside and out. Set in their own private meadows and built on wooden foundations, with lovely raised decks, the lodges invoke a sense of luxurious adventure.
As you walk up the steps to your deck you’ll feel the call of the swing sofa, perfect for drinking a glass of wine with gorgeous views of the river Yar rolling by.
Step inside through the bi-fold doors and you’ll find a light open-plan space with a well equipped kitchen, dining table and lounge area. The kitchen comes with a hob, fridge, wood-burning stove, butler sink, fitted cupboards and bins. The chunky wooden dining table with bench seating (and sheepskin throws for extra comfort) provides the perfect space to eat breakfast or an evening meal.
The living room area, with a comfortable leather sofa and armchair provides a lovely space to curl up and admire the view. The sofa can be converted into a sofa bed for two guests to sleep or simply for extra cosiness!
At the back of your lodge you’ll find not one, but two flushing toilets. One within a washroom with a hand basin and the other within the bathroom. The decadent bathroom space features a wood-fired water heater, WC, hand basin and a roll top bath - ideal for soaks with a good book. If a shower is more your thing, an outdoor shower room provides the opportunity to splash under the stars.
Each lodge has three bedrooms: one with a king-sized bed, one with twin beds and one bunk room with adult-sized bunk beds. Each bedroom has clothes hanging space, mirrors and bedside tables and you’ll find stylish decorative touches such as sheepskin rugs, soft throws, cushions and hot water bottles. After a day’s adventuring, you can sink into crisp cotton sheets and a sumptuous duvet beneath a canopy of canvas.
Glamping the Wight Way is wonderfully situated on the outskirts of an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and has some fabulous opportunities for walking and biking. Yarmouth, with its ancient town square, independent shops and cafes can be reached via a lovely one mile walk. Many stunning beaches are a short drive away.
