Stunning shepherd’s huts in the heart of rural Leicestershire, with outdoor hot tubs and beautiful country views – perfect for a romantic retreat.
These two wonderful shepherd’s huts are tucked away on a picturesque Leicestershire farm. Both are newly built and finished to an exceptionally high standard, with all the amenities you could need for an unforgettable getaway. Although small, they have been cleverly designed with ample space to relax and unwind with your loved one, away from the distractions of urban life. They also have the added luxury of outdoor hot tubs, where you can both bathe to the backdrop of the idyllic rolling countryside.
Each hut is warm and welcoming, lovingly decorated and furnished by the thoughtful hosts. Inside you’ll find well-equipped kitchens with modern appliances, cookware and utensils - ideal for whipping up a delicious meal – as well as comfy seating areas where you can sit back and enjoy the stunning country views. The cosy bedrooms have king size beds and luxurious linen to ensure a sound night’s sleep, and ensuite shower rooms with fluffy towels and bathrobes provided for your stay.
Outside each hut is a delightful private garden, complete with outdoor seating, a gas BBQ, a fire pit and a hot tub. This really is a lovely spot to catch some rays, dine alfresco under the stars and of course, soak in the tub, perhaps with a bottle of something cold? You might even catch a glimpse of some of the local wildlife, including muntjac deer, rabbits, hares and if you’re lucky the extremely rare white squirrel.
If you can pry yourselves away from your peaceful haven, you’ll be spoilt for choice for things to see and do in the surrounding area. Foxton Locks is a 15-minute walk away, a popular tourist attraction where you can watch the many boats and barges navigate their way through the largest flight of locks in the English canal system, visit the fascinating museum and round off the trip with a tipple at one of the two canal side pubs. You’ll also be just a stone’s throw away from Rutland Water nature reserve (rich in wildlife and a haven for watersports), Rockingham Castle and many historic manor houses.
Also nearby are the many charming local towns and villages of the region, renowned for their bustling markets, speciality shops, traditional pubs and fantastic eateries. These include Market Harborough, Oakham, Uppingham, Stamford and Melton Mowbray, the latter world-famous for its pork pies.
