Luxurious log cabin in the Scottish Highlands boasting river views from the private deck.
With pretty river views and a location in the popular Scottish ski resort of Aviemore, this traditional log cabin makes a great holiday spot regardless of the time of year.
Each of the timbers that make up this pretty cabin has been hand chosen and hand sculptured to give an authentic log cabin experience in the Scottish Highlands. The interior of the cabin is just as charming as the outside and guests will love to relax after a day on the slopes or out exploring the stunning location. The downstairs is an open plan layout with plenty of space for guests to enjoy themselves without being on top of each other. And there are many lovely touches which enhance the log cabin atmosphere, from antler light fittings, an abundance of exposed timber, and tartan soft-furnishings, which give a nod to the location.
A lounge area, with comfy leather seating and a wood burning fire, is a lovely cosy space to gather after dinner and play board games or watch a film on the wall-mounted flat screen television. The kitchen is extremely well equipped with quality appliances. The local area is known for its wonderful fresh fish and crustaceans, which will provide plenty of inspiration for keen chefs. A good sized, wooden dining table sits, handily, next to the kitchen, where leisurely breakfasts and memorable suppers can be enjoyed. Doors lead directly out from the kitchen to one of two large balcony areas, so guests can venture outside to admire the view, drink in hand, dinner on the stove. Wrap up warm and head out for some late night star spotting.
And when it's time for bed, there is a King-sized master and twin room, with comfy beds dressed in crisp white linens with tartan scatter cushions and blankets. There are lovely treetop views from the bedrooms, so fling open the windows, let in the morning light and enjoy the birdsong. The master bedroom boasts a balcony where guests can breath in the fresh air with a coffee and croissant. Additionally, there is a set of single beds in an upstairs living area, that can be screened off for privacy.
Guests can make use of the table tennis table, badminton and there's also a children's play park available onsite and DVDs and boardgames can be borrowed from reception. There is also a secure bike store at Cedar Lodge, meaning cyclists who are heading to Aviemore to enjoy the amazing cycling routes can rest assured knowing their bikes are safe and sound.
Aviemore and the surrounding Cairngorms National Park offers great opportunities for lovers of nature and activity. It is well-known for its glorious walking trails and Winter sports. For those who are looking for a more restful stay, the lodge is situated in beautiful surrounding with views of the nearby River Spey and lots of rabbits and red squirrels to watch.
