Beautifully designed rural house overlooking Little Loch Broom with open plan living, toasty wood burner and stunning surroundings in Garve, Scotland.
Adlearag was built in 2021 and has been sympathetically designed to make the most of its breathtaking surroundings. With four beautiful bedrooms and a very large open plan living area it would be perfect for families with children, friends holidaying together and nature lovers looking to enjoy the challenge of An Teallach munro (mountain) and its famous nine to 10 hour hike!
The house is a delight made up of wood and plenty of glass, with large floor-to-ceiling doors and big picture windows that bring the landscape in and allow you to really absorb the beauty of the area.
The open plan living, kitchen and dining area is huge, with a serene contemporary colour palette that makes you feel relaxed, cosy and at home from the moment you arrive. A great deal of attention has been paid to the details and you'll find beautiful wood surfaces, resin, marble and rich textures throughout providing a luxurious place to unwind. Two large sofas are nestled by the wood burner and make a lovely spot to enjoy a film with snacks and a bottle of wine, or simply to settle in with a good book and a cup of tea. Look up and you'll see the views through the glass at every turn. It really is blissful.
The kitchen area is fully fitted with a large fridge freezer, a dishwasher, washing machine and everything you could possibly need to prepare a delicious meal. Set the large wooden table with its bench and chair seating, and settle in for an atmospheric meal with the Scottish moors as your backdrop.
At bedtime you'll have four delightful rooms to choose from. Two have king size beds, one a double and one comes with twin singles ideal for children or friends sharing. All of the rooms are simply and elegantly decorated, providing a wonderful space to sleep in, and you'll find the bedding of very high quality with lovely little touches of colour in the soft furnishings which really warm the spaces. The bedrooms offer more spectacular views through the windows and one lucky pair can enjoy a very smart ensuite.
Additionally there are two more full bathrooms and one has a magnificent bathtub from which you can enjoy a view of the loch. This is the perfect place to unwind after a day exploring. After a good night and a refreshing shower or luxurious bath, head down and make use of the Nespresso machine. Sit at the table and plan your day.
As previously mentioned the An Teallach munro is a huge challenge but is incredibly rewarding for those who enjoy a proper hike and glorious scenery. You start your ascent by Dundonnell Hotel and might want to plan in a hearty pub meal and a pint as a reward for finishing it. For those less inclined to mountainous walks visit the waterfalls at Ardessie, the gorgeous Inverewe Gardens and wonderful boat trips from Poolewe where you might be lucky enough to spot a dolphin! Enjoy small walks directly from your doorstep and visit the many hidden beaches including Gunaird Bay which is a 15-minute drive away and is ideal for doggy friends. The village of Badcaul is only a five-minute walk away and has a lovely pancake tearoom.
Please note: minimum stay for this property is: 4 nights low season & 7 nights high season
