Built using traditional techniques, exposed oak framing can be found throughout and all fixtures are handmade and of the highest quality. The double height open planned living area gives a striking first impression of the lodge. The kitchen is fully equipped with high-end appliances, with a round table that comfortably seats four. The lounge area has comfortable seating, a flat screen TV, and a wood-burning stove - perfect for a cosy evening indoors. The master bedroom has a super king size bed, while there are two futon beds upstairs for extra guests. The main downstairs bathroom features a luxurious rain shower and its own Finnish sauna. Upstairs, in the galleried area, there are two side-by-side baths. Step onto the front decking and you will be greeted by gorgeous views of the River Spey and surrounding countryside.
Macdui lies less than one kilometre from the centre of Aviemore. A town and resort, it is a popular holiday destination for those who love the outdoors, regardless of the time of year. An array of winter sports are available, such as snowboarding and various forms of skiing. Other things to do in the area include golf, G2 adventure park, clay pigeon shooting at Rothiemurchus Estate, and much more. There are numerous cycle and walking routes to be explored, and you will be just a stone's throw from Cairngorm mountain. In the winter this is a great spot for winter sports, while in summer you can enjoy rides up the funicular railway for stunning panoramic views. The surrounding Cairngorms National Park is the largest in the UK and is known the world over for its stunning mountain scenery.
