This marvellous property is located at the end of a private track, with extraordinary views over the moors and down to the sea in several directions. Carn Cobba is a truly unique cottage capable of accommodating up to ten guests between six bedrooms, and occupies an enviable spot close to some of the most storied and historic areas in Cornwall. Perfectly finished inside and out, Carn Cobba is a real treat for any groups looking to spend time in gorgeous Western Cornwall, from large families to old friends, groups of couples to colleagues.
As your approach the cottage, you suspect that the house and gardens are one of a kind, and as you walk through the door you realise that you're in for a truly extraordinary experience. Built in the thirties and lovingly restored to its current glory, the house is characterised by light, warmth and comfort. Outside, a subtropical garden has been planted and maintained, and internally you'll find a space that successfully combines historic charm with contemporary luxury.
Arranged over three floors, the cottage is built around the central George Robinson kitchen, with a fab breakfast space opening up from it. A more formal dining room comes off this space, as well as an all-purpose living room, replete with bay windows and an open fire. As well as six bedrooms, four of which are en-suite, there is a study, a games room, a utility room, boot room and a first floor television and gaming room, ever popular with younger guests on rainy days.
The bedrooms are spacious and share the beautiful interiors which characterise the house, while the lower bedrooms even have private access via a backdoor, well suited for teenage guests, couples or a nanny.
Architecturally the house takes full advantage of its position, with most of the rooms drawing in shafts of light throughout the day. As well as abundant sea views, the property has multiple patios and balcony spaces, as well as a second dining room or 'snug' which faces the sunset in all four seasons.
Combining seclusion and easy access to village amenities, Carn Cobba is ideally suited for large groups looking for a range of holiday activities. From the galleries and studios of nearby St Ives, to excellent surfing at Sennen Cove, year round fishing to hearty pub lunches, there is something for everybody in your party.
Multiple walking trails snake past your door, and a fantastic slap up pub meal can be reached in just a ten minute walk. Whether your ideal holiday involves taking in the Tate St Ives and Barbara Hepworth House or cooking up a seafood feast, visiting D.H Lawrence's house or spending all day in your own private gardens, Carn Cobba has you covered.
