Set in the quaint village of Mickleton, known as "the gateway to the Cotswolds", you will find Blenheim Cottage. A family home until as recently as 2021, this 15th century beauty has been lovingly maintained, restored, and improved over the years by the owners. The décor of this traditional homestead is a seamless blend of the old and the new, creating an air that is at once homely and contemporary. The rooms feature modern furniture and fixtures, while more traditional elements include vaulted ceilings, timber framing, and exposed brick walls. All mod cons are provided, while the outdoor spaces make for a delightful setting, whatever the season. Whether you're having a tipple on the patio, cooking up a storm on the BBQ, or playing games on the lawn, you certainly won't be bored. And should you wish to venture out, the Cotswolds village of Mickleton just so happens to have access to some of the region’s most glorious walking trails. Just remember to bring your hiking boots!

The large yet cosy living room has plenty of comfy seating, a wall-mounted flat screen TV, and a wood burner sitting within a massive inglenook fireplace. The spacious kitchen and dining area sits under striking timber framed vaulted ceilings, offering the perfect place to enjoy a sumptuous home-cooked meal. The kitchen is wonderfully equipped, has ample workspace for food prep, and even includes an Aga oven (there is also a modern oven for the summer months). The adjacent dining table comfortably seats eight guests.

When it comes to sleeping, there are four large bedrooms: two king size, one double, and one twin. All sit under oak beams, have been meticulously decorated, and exhibit a similar, yet unique, character. While the master bedroom has a half-bath ensuite, there is a luxurious family bathroom complete with a walk-in shower and bathtub, as well as a shower room on the ground floor - ideal for those with mobility issues.

Outside, there is something for everyone to enjoy. The patio area is replete with plant life and has outdoor furniture alongside the BBQ, making it the perfect spot for an evening meal or nightcap. The sprawling lawn is ideal for playing games and keeping the kids - big and small - entertained with a number of garden games, such as croquet and giant Jenga, for guests to use. There is additional dining and seating on a dedicated gravel area beside the upper lawn, and sun loungers are provided for those want to relax on the lawns.

Mickleton is a typical Cotswolds village, with beautiful scenery and gorgeous buildings. Within five-minutes of the cottage are two charming pubs: The Kings Arms and the Butchers Arms. Mickleton also has the Three Ways Hotel, home of the famous "Pudding Club" and an in-house restaurant and bistro. You will also be neatly positioned in the North Cotswolds, so you will be free to wander some of the UK's most pristine countryside. Well-worn walking trails include the Hidcote & Foxcote walk, the Chipping Campden Cotswold Way circular walk, and Broadway and the Tower - to name a few. For the more urban inclined, there are several nearby towns worth a visit such as Stratford upon Avon, Warwick, Leamington Spa, Cheltenham and Oxford.

We had a wonderful stay at Blenheim Cottage to celebrate mum’s 70th birthday with 3 generations of family. The cottage is beautifully appointed with quality furnishings and it felt like home from home. There was nothing we needed that wasn’t there! The garden is lovely, we enjoyed sitting outside in the evenings, and there was plenty of parking. The location is great for exploring the Cotswolds, but if you wanted to stay local there are pubs in the village, a great butcher, a deli & bakery, and a mini Morrisons. Everything you need is on the doorstep, and there are lots of footpaths for walking. Faye was extremely helpful with recommendations. We enjoyed Saturday night at the Pudding Club, and Sunday lunch at the Kings Arms. Faye - we can’t thank you enough. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we hope to return and explore more of the beautiful Cotswold villages.

We have just returned from this beautiful home. The house decor was amazing. Just to our taste. So many nice pieces of furniture. A lot of love and care has gone into this stunning home. The garden was well maintained and we enjoyed Dining outside as well as playing lawn games . The house is so well equipped. We had a very thoughtful hamper filled with nice bread local eggs and a few treats on arrival which was a wonderful touch . Faye is such a nice kind lady who will go out of her way to help you prior to your stay and during your stay. Perfect location. Shops within walking distance. Great pub. Beautiful village with stunning homes. I honestly could go on and on but I would not want to spoil if for anyone. Just book it. You won’t be disappointed.

We stayed at Blenheim cottage in May as two families and had a fabulous time. The house is gorgeous and very typical of The Cotswolds, the location is lovely too. The house is very well equipped and the gardens are beautiful. The owners were incredibly helpful with information ahead of our trip. I would highly recommend a stay here. One thing to be mindful of is that the house is an old building and hence stairs are steep and some ceilings low, the attic stairs are tricky but the character this house has is second to none and we enjoyed it very much and there is a downstairs bedroom and shower room.

We had a wonderful stay at Blenheim Cottage for Christmas. The cottage comfortably slept 5 adults and 2 big teenagers and was festively decorated for the season including a lovely real tree for presents to go under. It has all the accoutrements that you could need to make your stay go as smoothly as possible and the owners are super responsive in case anything needs seeing you during your stay. The cottage’s location is fantastic within very close walking distance to two pubs in the village as well as well stocked grocery store. In addition, it sits just adjacent to the Heart of England Way meaning that there are loads of great walks literally on the doorstep. The very quaint town of Chipping Camden is only a few minutes away by car as well easy transport links to London or beyond via Honeybourne, which is also only a few minutes away by car. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Blenheim Cottage!
