Escape to the Kent countryside for a truly memorable stay at the beautiful Burleigh House. This marvellous, spacious home is steeped in character, from large, original sash windows to the sweeping original staircase and has all the space and amenities you could want for a wonderful stay together.
Whether you'll be spending time around the heated swimming pool, playing garden games in the beautiful lawn garden or enjoying a competitive game of pool in the outdoor games room there are endless ways to spend your time at Burleigh House.
The house itself offers six bedrooms, most of which offer views through large sash windows over the garden, or green hills and rolling countryside beyond. There are also a choice of living areas to relax and come together, including a comfortable family library room with warming wood burner and a kids snug with toys and games to enjoy.
Guests will love the grand dining room and the idyllic farmhouse-style kitchen with its breakfast table offering views across the garden and french doors leading outside. Come evening, retreat to the light filled day room with picturesque bay windows enjoying the idyllic countryside view and the roaring open fire.
Come summer, where better to spend your days than in the glorious lawned garden, with manicured hedging, blooming flowers and plants? This space is designed to give guests the fullest possible range of facilities to suit everyone from the youngest to the oldest. Whilst some may prefer to sit back on the patio area to watch friends or family running around in the garden or splashing around in the pool from the comfort of the outdoor corner sofa and dining table, others may want to have a competitive game of pool in the garden house or game of table tennis on the lawn.
Situated in the village of Charing on the North Downs, a designated 'Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty', Burleigh House sits in a perfect spot for long countryside walks, with ample rural cycling routes on your doorstep and a choice of country pubs a short five-minute drive away. But should the sea end up calling, jump in the car and be at the coast in less than 30 minutes, with charming Hythe and vibrant Folkestone nearby, however excellent road and rail connections (the train station within a few minutes walk) make exploring your oyster, should you be able to draw yourself away for the delights of Burleigh House!
