Just outside the historic and bustling city of York is the charming, romantic retreat, Wolds Edge Treehouse. This luxury lodge is perfect for a honeymoon break, anniversary celebration, or simply just to escape the trappings of everyday life.
Sleeping two guests, inside the treehouse is a beautifully designed and decorated open plan living and sleeping space. Those staying enter on the raised terrace either through the kitchen or sliding glass doors in the bedroom. A luxurious king size bed sits at one end of the room. A stylish and comfy leather sofa is found at the foot of the bed in front of the flat screen TV, and guests can stay warm in front of the log effect fire for those cosy nights in. Floor to ceiling windows allow light to flood into this relaxing environment, allowing you to be reminded of your beautiful surroundings.
Moving through the room leads to the kitchen, which is well equipped with a microwave oven, dishwasher, and fridge/freezer. There is also a dining table and chairs for two, while guests can enjoy the optional extra of an English breakfast basket on their first morning. Leading from the bedroom is the sleek en-suite bathroom with walk-in shower.
As fantastic as the lodge is inside, the outside space is just as much of a treat. With stunning views across the Yorkshire countryside surrounding them, guests can sit out on the raised wooden deck with a morning cup of coffee, or enjoy an alfresco meal at the outdoor dining furniture. Completing things is a private hot tub to really make it a stay to remember.
With its location, Wolds Edge Treehouse is perfectly situated for getting out and about in the Yorkshire Wolds. It is right on the Minster Way and its several walking and cycling routes, while Yorkshire Wolds Way is also nearby. Yet despite its rural location York is only 12 miles away. This historical hub boasts the famous York Minster Cathedral, as well as the city walls built by the Romans. For those who like museums the Jorvik Viking Centre and National Railway Museum are both worth a visit, before capping things off with a cruise on the River Ouse. The East Yorkshire coastline is also within easy reach.
