As you approach the cottage you’ll love the quaint exterior, with beautiful stone walls and a tall chimney giving the getaway plenty of character. And as you step inside, you’ll enter the charming open plan interior that offers you and a loved one the chance to relax and unwind in style.
The main living space has bucketloads of rural charm thanks to a large feature fireplace, hardwood floors, warming rugs and exposed beams. Get comfy in the cosy lounge that sits next to the fireplace, offering you the chance to stay toasty and warm all year round. And if it’s a hot day, the sofa sits next to huge glass doors that you can open up to let the outside in. Keep the doors closed in winter and take in your surroundings as you enjoy a movie marathon on the Smart TV.
Step out through the glass doors and you’ll find some nice outdoor seating, which offers a lovely spot where you can enjoy a morning coffee or alfresco lunch whilst taking in your surroundings. There’s also a firepit out here, so you can stay nice and warm as the stars come out above. Grab a glass of something delicious, throw some logs on the fire and chat the night away as the flames flicker.
Back inside, the cottage has a lovely modern kitchen with all the amenities you’ll need to prepare a delicious feast during your stay.
Before bed, head to the luxurious bathroom where there’s a deluxe walk-in shower and a truly opulent free-standing copper bathtub. This is the perfect place to unwind with a glass of fizz after a day exploring the area. Then, when bedtime beckons, head to the beautifully designed bedroom, with its lovely green walls and spacious double bed that combines with the tranquil surroundings to all but guarantee you a peaceful night’s sleep.
Nestled in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Talkin Tarn is a peaceful retreat surrounded by countryside and woodland walks. Its scenic 1.3-mile circular trail passes the Boathouse Café & Gift Shop, perfect for a waterside coffee.
