Enveloped in the secluded Northumberland countryside and with idyllic rural views, this award-winning detached cottage is pure unadulterated bliss. Think of champagne on arrival, personal chefs, scattered rose petals or a heart-shaped pizza no less. All of these can be arranged on request while you relax in the private Jacuzzi, walk hand-in-hand through the lush hillsides or cycle side-by-side down the winding, county lanes.
The Retreat sits serenely at the end of a scenic tree-lined driveway and is an exclusive country hideaway with quality, handcrafted designs. A natural charm oozes from the oak wood floors, ceiling rafters and exposed brickwork while sumptuous furnishings add a luxurious, homely style. The ground floor is home to a sublime internal spa area where an indulgent 5 metre swim-spa pool with Bellagio fountain water jets awaits. Here you can enjoy a relaxing Jacuzzi experience before rinsing off in the deluxe wet room or enjoying a glass of wine in the designer kitchen-dining area.
Directly overlooking the pool, the bright and modern kitchen is ideal for enjoying some of the homemade soup and fresh, crusty bread made especially for you on arrival. From here, stairs lead up to the large living room which boasts beautiful vaulted ceilings, a modern fire and stylish seating area. Subtle country touches reflect its rural roots while arched windows frame the idyllic, natural vistas. The spacious en-suite bedroom sits adjacent to this and has all of the modern comforts you would expect of a sumptuous, romantic retreat. A heavenly super-king size bed is sheer luxury, as is the deluxe two-ended bath in the rain-shower wet room.
The cottage is within the small Northumberland hamlet of Ingram which is surrounded by over 400 square miles of untouched National Park. Here, secret waterfalls, secluded valleys and beautiful wildlife can be enjoyed along with narrow, winding lanes and interesting, archaeological sites. Bikes are provided for soaking up the serene rural scenes as are a wide number of walking guides and handy maps. If you fancy taking a drive then there are also a number of charming pubs and restaurants which you can frequent, including the magical Treehouse restaurant in the Alnwick Gardens. For those who just want to lock themselves away then the cottage’s flat-screen TV’s, Wi-Fi and sound system can all help to keep you and your loved one entertained.
