Hidden away on a four and a half acre site near Alnwick in Northumberland, this luxurious glamping pod is the perfect spot to unplug and relax. The Glebe comprises of a main pod and three separate outdoor spaces designed to help you unwind while you soak up the stunning natural scenery. Toast marshmallows over the firepit, lie back and stargaze in the outdoor bath or get lost in a book in the hanging teepee. The Glebe is also just 20 minutes both from the coast and the Northumberland National Park, making it a great location to enjoy the great outdoors.

The main pod is a striking curved structure, blending in with the landscape from the outside and with a contemporary feel to the design of the interior. The open-plan living, kitchen and dining space has full-width glass doors overlooking the surrounding hills and trees. You can open the doors onto the decking outside, letting in some of that countryside air and enjoy your meals alfresco. There’s a bathroom tucked away behind the kitchen and a separate bedroom, complete with a luxurious super-king size bed at the back of the pod.

After a day exploring Northumberland's countryside, head down the gravel path to the deep bath, carved from a single piece of stone. Next to it, you’ll find a beautiful chair made from volcanic rock. Wander back along the path to the fire pit area, protected from the elements by circular fencing and allowing you to stay outdoors late into the evening, rustling up dinner on the BBQ or stargazing in the beautiful dark skies. About 100 metres from the pod, you’ll also find a hanging teepee, suspended from a tree and full of pillows and blankets, creating a cosy reading nook or just somewhere to lie back and relax.

If you can tear yourself away from your peaceful hideaway, there’s plenty to do and see in the surrounding area. A visit to Alnwick Castle is a must for any history buffs or Harry Potter fans as this beautiful medieval fortress appeared in the films. The nearby Alnwick Gardens are also worth visiting with stunning water features, manicured grounds and even a treehouse. Northumberland National Park offers hiking and cycling amidst some beautiful scenery, as does the coastline, just 20 minutes away from The Glebe.
