Quaint and cosy, The Cow Shed makes great use of its space and is an ideal spot for your next romantic retreat. Nestled away in the Cumbrian countryside, this beautiful cottage is the perfect blend of rural design, and contemporary comfort. Set in an idyllic location, with a bubbling stream rolling right past your terrace, this is a fantastic place for lovers of nature to relax and unwind in peace.
Couples will love the hot tub, which sits out on the deck. Hop in with a glass of bubbly and watch the stream go rolling by in peace. You can also dine out on the deck, enjoying summery meals in the sunshine, whilst taking in the fresh country air.
When you step inside, you're presented with a carefully thought-out space that has comfy furnishings throughout. The main living area is open plan, with a nice sofa and a huge Smart TV with access to Netflix and BBC iPlayer among others, meaning movie nights in are a joy. The cottage has the benefit of hyper-fast broadband so downloading films is no problem at all. The mobile phone signal is also excellent.
The open living space also has a modern, well-equipped kitchen that has all of the amenities you need to cook during your stay. The kitchen has an oven suitable for warming ready meals, as well as a fridge, dishwasher, Nespresso coffee machine and a microwave. Guests can eat on the cute kitchen island, or outside on the deck when the weather is warmer.
The gorgeous bedroom has a super-king four poster bed that looks great and offers a fab night's sleep. You then have your own dress room, as well as an en suite shower room. The bedroom also features big glass sliding doors, and large windows, that let plenty of natural light come pouring in, whilst offering you quick access to the hot tub. You'll be pleased to know that The Cow Shed has underfloor heating throughout, controlled by individual thermostats in each room, so you can ensure it's always the right temperature.
The Cow Shed is located in such a great spot. It sits on the western fringe of The Yorkshire Dales National Park and is only half an hour away from Lake Windermere. This means you have fantastic access to two of the UK's most beautiful destinations that simply must be explored. There are some amazing landscapes and Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty, such as Arnside and Silverdale, and the Forest of Bowland. The picturesque nearby towns and villages also offer the finest in local produce, food and drink, as well as award-winning gastro-pubs and some cracking tourist attractions.
