Tucked away in the tranquil Western Lake District, The Wayside is a stunningly restored retreat, offering charm, luxury and a touch of rustic elegance. Set within the UNESCO World Heritage Site, this idyllic spot is overlooked by the majestic Black Combe Fell, with sandy shores just a short stroll away. The Wayside boasts a selection of beautifully appointed accommodation options, including three exquisite bedrooms and a stylish self-contained annex.
Perfect for couples, Windermere is a self-contained haven with its own private entrance. This chic retreat features a sumptuous king size bed with a state-of-the-art Tempur Cloud mattress, ensuring the ultimate in comfort. White cotton bedding, oak beams and oak flooring create a serene and sophisticated atmosphere, complemented by exposed stone walls, cast iron radiators and elegant furnishings. A large flat-screen TV is perfectly positioned for relaxed viewing. The ensuite bathroom is just as luxurious, with its exposed stonework, a stunning cast-iron bath complete with a shower attachment and indulgent touches like dressing gowns, slippers and Noble Isle toiletries.
Next up are the three bedrooms, all booked separately. First is Wasdale, a spacious twin room brimming with character. High, beamed ceilings and two charming black iron single beds create a light, airy feel. Relax on the oak window seat while soaking up breathtaking views of Black Combe. The ensuite bathroom is a sanctuary of comfort, featuring a large bath, an over-bath shower and underfloor heating, along with the signature Noble Isle toiletries.
Up next is Buttermere. This delightful double room exudes warmth and style, similar to Wasdale, Buttermere offers high-beamed ceilings, cast iron radiators and yet more tasteful furnishings. The comfortable double bed, dressed in crisp white cotton, promises a restful night and the ensuite bathroom takes indulgence to new heights with its double-ended bath, walk-in shower and premium toiletries.
Last but not least is Ennerdale. This spacious and versatile suite is ideal for families or stargazers looking to unwind. The room features a plush double bed dressed in fresh cotton bedding, plus a double sofa bed - perfect for two children under 11 or one adult. Exposed stonework, high ceiling and a Velux window enhance its charm, offering lovely courtyard views by day and a celestial show at night. A modern TV and high-quality furnishings complete the experience. The ensuite bathroom is a haven of relaxation, with a large double-ended bath for indulgent soaks, a separate shower cubicle and luxurious Noble Isle toiletries.
