Sitting in the incredible grounds of The Yair, an elegant 18th century Georgian country house in the Scottish Borders, The Treehouse is a marvellous stay for two offering a romantic retreat with incredible views. The treehouse sits above ancient forests and a fantastic walled garden, perched high up in the trees. You’ll love the cosy and comfy interiors, as well as the breathtaking views across rolling hills.
When you arrive, head inside and get comfy in the pretty lounge, which has double doors that open up onto the private deck. Flooded with natural light, the lounge is the ideal place to unwind, with the wood-burning fireplace keeping you toasty and warm whatever the weather outside. There’s a lovely sofa here and a fab armchair where you can settle in with a good book and a cup of tea, or while away the evening chatting with your loved one over a glass of wine.
Stepping out through the double doors takes you onto the deck, which is perched amidst the canopy offering a lovely spot to sit and take in your surroundings in style. There’s some lovely seating here, as well as an alfresco dining table for summer lunches and a BBQ for anyone who fancies grilling up some delicious local produce.
Back inside, The Treehouse has a quaint kitchenette, that’s nicely equipped with modern appliances ensuring meal prep is a breeze. There’s also a cute dining table for two tucked away in the corner, should you wish to dine inside.
When night falls, head to the beautiful bedroom, where there’s a fabulous double bed that sits opposite some nice picture windows that perfectly frame the scenery outside. Grab your first coffee of the day and get comfy under the covers as you enjoy a lie-in with a view. The Treehouse also has a superb, modern bathroom with a luxury walk-in shower.
Set on the banks of the picturesque River Tweed, this stunning estate is a dream for nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts alike. Renowned for its fantastic fishing, you can try your luck with a rod or simply settle in for a leisurely picnic by the water’s edge. Wander through enchanting walled gardens, amble along woodland trails or challenge your companions to a game on the private tennis court.
