Enjoy a romantic retreat in rural Scotland at Glenshee Treehouses in Perthshire. These luxurious octagonal getaways have been designed specifically for couples to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life and relax whilst surrounded by true natural beauty.
The treehouses each sit in their own secluded position on the hillside, offering spectacular panoramic views across the countryside and mountains beyond. Both also have their own private decked area, complete with luxurious hot tubs where you can sit and gaze out at the fabulous views of the Cairngorm mountains.
The first of the two treehouses is the Scots Pine Treehouse, which is reached via a secret archway and bridge through the trees. The large open plan interior has a super king sized bed that sits beneath a pyramid roof-light. There's also a wood burning stove and a cosy, comfy lounge area, perfect for nice evenings in front of the TV. The TV has freeview, and there's also a DVD player.
The second treehouse is the Silver Birch Treehouse. After walking up the illuminated wooden pathway to the property flanked by birch and hazel trees, guests enter into the spacious living and bedroom area. With a chandelier overhead and light flooding in through three sides of windows, this area combines homely touches with luxury living. Cosy nights in are enhanced by the wood burning stove, and comfy love seats. The treehouse also has a dining table and chairs and finally the king size bed, which takes pride of place in the centre of the room between two wooden pillars.
Both treehouses have well equipped kithchens that come complete with a fridge/freezers, and oven, hob, toaster, kettle, and a breakfast bar with further lovely views. They also each have a bathroom with two sinks, a freestanding bath, and bubble wall.
Located right on the edge of the Cairngorms National Park, the Glenshee Treehouses are surrounded by stunning mountains, forests, and moorland. Providing the gateway to the Scottish Highlands, there is plenty to do whatever the weather. There are several walking and bike trails, or alternatively take to the waters and canoe, sail, or go white water rafting. For history buffs the famous Balmoral Castle is one of 11 in the park, and there are several other museums, gardens, and more.
In the winter months, the area is great for skiing and the treehouse is only a 20 minute drive from the Glenshee Ski Centre, which has plenty to offer whether a beginner or experienced campaigner.
