Indulge in a romantic escape in one of these rather special huts nestled amongst the trees and dotted around a stunning lake. Each property has a beautifully crafted individual interior which boasts designer wallpaper, Egyptian cotton bedding and unique touches including gin bars and stargazing telescopes. Footpaths weave through to the local gastro pub or market town but you won't want to leave for long as your own steamy hot tub awaits for your return. Day trips include the world heritage Jurassic coast and National trust delights such as Montacute house or simply indulging in the finest fare teh South West has to offer in one of the award winning local restaurants and cafes.
The four pretty wooden huts have been designed with utter isolation in mind, each having their own private area overlooking the peaceful pond and flourishing greenery. With only the birds and the ducklings to interrupt, you can relax in total seclusion letting the worries of the world pass you by. Here, you can read a book in your hammock, make use of the new woodland sauna or rustle something up on the barbeque before sitting beneath the starry night sky and melting marshmallows in your open-pit fire.
With two rooms, the huts have a small yet perfectly formed main space and a luxury separate bathroom. Each hut has been styled with a pretty vintage chic design boasting a meticulous attention to detail. Charming vintage signs and pictures adorn the whitewashed walls, while cute rugs lie carefully across the solid wood floors. The kitchen, which is modern and fully equipped, is ideal for cooking some delicious local treats while the cosy bed is perfect for curling up in on those cold winter nights.
The surrounding area is renowned for its natural beauty and has some excellent walks and nature activities to enjoy. Set against the beautiful natural backdrop of South Somerset, there are plenty of fields to explore and animals to spot. At just a 30 minute drive away, Devon and Dorset’s World Heritage Jurassic Coastline is a must to be seen and has a breath-taking coastal path for walkers.
Closer to home, the local towns and villages are well worth a visit and have some excellent markets and vintage shops to discover. The award-winning gastro pub at Hinton St George is also just a mile away and is one of the many great local pubs and restaurants in the area. But if you just want a natural escape or a romantic break then there is little need to venture from your secluded shepherds hut retreat.
