The Sail Loft has been beautifully converted to provide luxury accommodation with unspoilt views over the sea. Overlooking Porth Beach in Cornwall, just north of Newquay, this three-bedroom house provides a laid back seaside retreat for family or groups of friends looking to slow down the pace and unwind. You’ll find your own private access to the beach, so you can stroll down before breakfast for a quick swim or enjoy a beer whilst watching the sunset over the horizon.

The house features a large, open-plan living and dining area which is full of natural light thanks to the big windows. This also means that you get fantastic views of the beach and the headland from your spot on the sofa by the fire or from the dining table. The big kitchen, with its circular island unit, provides the heart of the house. Again, you’ll find spectacular views through big windows and doors that lead out onto the terrace, making it easy to take lunch outside on sunny days.

There are three ensuite bedrooms in total, one on the ground floor and two upstairs. On the ground floor, you’ll find a bedroom equipped with zip and link beds so you can choose the space to be configured as a twin or a spacious king. This is a relaxing space, furnished in blues and greys which complement the beautiful views from the windows. You’ll find even more luxury in the bedrooms upstairs. One features a freestanding bathtub in the bedroom and the other has a Juliet balcony. One of these rooms can also be set up as a twin if required.

Open up the large glass doors in the kitchen onto the terrace and add an inside/outside dimension to the house. Enjoy breakfast outside on the terrace, before heading down the steps to the beach for a splash about in the surf. There’s a charcoal barbecue and outdoor dining furniture as well as a couple of reclining garden chairs for when you just want to sit out with a book and relax.

The Sail Loft is a great base for a holiday in Cornwall, whether you just want to sit back and relax on some of the best beaches in the county or you want to do a bit more exploring. There are sweeping sandy beaches in both directions along the coast and you can step straight onto the South West Coast Path for an expedition along the seafront. Book the family in for a surfing lesson at Watergate Bay or treat everyone to a cream tea at the famous Gwenna Teahouse. The towns of Newquay and Padstow are both close by and the Eden Project is just a 40-minute drive from the house.
