If you are looking for peace, quiet and somewhere to recharge your batteries in comfort, The Pavilion will provide a truly wonderful stay with its expansive floor-to-ceiling sliding windows which allow unobstructed impressive views onto the Glamorgan Jurassic coastline. The exquisitely curated space celebrates artisans’ work and historic social antiques, so not only will you be surrounded by nature, but also by artists’ works that nature inspires.
The Pavilion has been meticulously designed. The site is located in an area that is stepped in history, ‘hide’ reflects this by introducing style, design and culture. Every aspect of the site has a little story to tell from Welsh social history, including stone carvings, stained glass and endless beautiful works from national Welsh artists.
The Pavilion is predominantly a couple’s sanctuary but has a cosy yet comfy twin room at the rear of the building meaning it can sleep four guests if required. The open-plan layout includes a fab sleeping area with a super-king size bed from where you can gaze out at the wonderful view from the comfort of your wood-panelled haven.
The seating and dining areas are similarly styled with fresh, white wooden walls, comfy vintage leather sofas and a welcoming wood burner. Get cosy on a chilly day and play board games in front of the fire or survey the scenery with the handy binoculars. A rustic wooden dining table allows further opportunities to appreciate the views over a delicious meal. The fully fitted kitchen contains a large fridge/freezer, range oven and induction hob, microwave and dishwasher so you’ll have everything you need to get creative when cooking.
You’ll find a separate modern shower room with award winning Welsh toiletries.
Outside, a pretty terrace with outdoor furniture is a fabulous spot to look out over the meadow to a spectacular view of the coastline. Fire up the BBQ for an alfresco dining experience when the sun goes down and the stars appear.
You will find plenty to do locally. The village of St. Donats is nearby, just across the road you can join the Heritage Coast Path leading to beautiful coves and beaches. Cardiff is easily reachable by car or train and whether you prefer to surf, horse ride, cycle or walk, you’ll find a mode of transport to suit you!
