Spanning the main house and the mill tower, which are connected by a spectacular glass walkway, this characterful property is full of delightful surprises. Set over seven-storeys, and boasting a huge garden with a fab outdoor pool, there’s plenty of space for everyone to enjoy.
The huge, contemporary kitchen/diner is a wonderfully sociable room. Fully equipped with all the essential appliances, it has a huge table, perfect for leisurely breakfasts and long lunches. And when you fancy a more formal feast, the stunning circular dining room awaits. Situated in the mill tower, this unique space is underneath the connecting glass walkway, giving you uninterrupted views of the original mill workings while you dine.
When it comes to relaxing, there’s a choice of lounge areas and snugs to settle down in for a catch-up over a cup of tea or glass of wine. Expect characterful exposed beams, opulent velvet sofas and cosy wood burners.
When night time falls, you’ll find the spacious master suite, with a super-king size bed, luxurious ensuite and private dressing room, that guarantees a wonderful night's sleep. There are six further bedrooms in the house, with three double ensuite rooms, an additional double, a twin room and a family room on offer. There is also a separate WC situated on the ground floor and a fabulous full family bathroom up on the first floor.
If you ascend to the top of the tower, you’ll reach the fabulous viewing tower on the seventh floor. Here you will be treated to spellbinding 360 degree views across the beautiful Norfolk countryside.
Outdoors at The Old Mill is just as impressive as indoors. The showstopper is the private pool which can be heated for an additional charge. Surrounded by loungers, many a happy hour can be spent here. And when you’re feeling hungry, the outdoor dining area seats up to 15 so is perfect for an alfresco feast.
Children will love the 14ft outdoor trampoline and if the weather isn’t on your side, head to the games barn where a whole host of fun awaits. Here you’ll find a pool table, table football and a ping pong table to keep you entertained, as well as a variety of lawn games.
The Old Mill is a destination in itself but if you want to explore your surroundings, you’ll discover pretty forests and picturesque rivers with abundant opportunities for walking, cycling, fishing and boating. Oxburgh Hall, a beautiful National Trust property, is just three miles away and the enchanting Gooderstone Water Gardens is a 10-minute drive.
