Grand Georgian house on an estate in North Norfolk between Norwich and the coast, perfect for celebrations with family and friends.
Located on the Worstead Estate in North Norfolk, between the coast and the Broads National Park, Holly House is surrounded by a 2,000 acre farm and beautiful open countryside. This grand 19th century house offers guests a taste of quintessential Georgian elegance. Across three floors you’ll find sweeping staircases, antique furnishings, chandeliers and original fireplaces. Alongside these beautiful period features, you’ll find all sorts of modern day luxuries and even a hot tub in the garden. Sleeping up to 15 guests in eight bedrooms, Holly House is ideal for big get-togethers and celebrations with family and friends.
The house dates back to 1837 and the original Georgian character and style of the building has been carefully maintained. This is clear from the moment you step into the elegant central hall with its grand staircase and polished parquet floors. There are large living and dining spaces throughout the house which feel bright and airy thanks to large windows and high ceilings. After a trip to the beach, relax in the sunroom with a good book while enjoying the views of the garden, get stuck into a game of pool in the games room or simply soak up the scenery from the comfort of the hot tub.
In the evenings, gather everyone together for dinner in the dining room or on warm evenings, sit out in the garden while some treats from the Estate's Farm Shop sizzle away on the BBQ. When it’s time for bed, you’ll find five bedrooms on the first floor and a further three above that on the second. There are three double bedrooms, a single and four twin rooms, all furnished in the same sophisticated style as the living spaces downstairs and with luxurious bedding. Two of the twin rooms can also be made up with super-king size beds if required offering plenty of flexibility for large groups.
While the rural location of Holly House offers plenty of peace and quiet there's plenty to do in the area with the city of Norwich nearby, as well as some of Norfolk’s best beaches. Head to Winterton-on-Sea where you’ll find a seemingly endless stretch of sandy beach or to Horsey Gap where you’ll often find dozens of seals napping on the sands. Just a little further south, explore the Norfolk Broads National Park on foot, by bike or even by boat.
