With space for up to 18 guests across nine bedrooms, a games room, a banqueting hall and four acres of stunning gardens, Chaucer Barn offers everything you need for a country weekend away or a week-long stay.
As you approach Chaucer Barn through the perfectly manicured gardens, you’re greeted by the huge two-story windows that give a glimpse of what’s inside. The award-winning barn conversion is filled with exotic furniture and textiles from around the world that create a space like no other. Moving through the ground floor, the entrance room, banqueting hall and huge kitchen are the perfect spot to entertain and reconnect with friends. Off to the side, the large sitting room and games room are great for those competitive moments or movie nights under a cosy blanket with the Sky Sports and Movies package on the large TV. Meanwhile, a full SONOS speaker system is there to get the tunes pumping on party nights.
The fully-equipped kitchen contains everything you need to cater for large groups of people, including events such as weddings. An Aga, as well as an additional two ovens, can handle even the most complicated catering, while multiple fridge freezers keep drinks cold and food fresh. In the warmer months, dine alfresco on the outdoor furniture or fire up the BBQ and fire pit for a more laid-back meal. As the night draws in and it’s time to head to bed, a mixture of king, double and twin bedrooms offer a cosy place to rest tired heads, adorned with luxury bedding. Whether you choose an ensuite or one of the shared bathrooms, expect deep baths, walk-in showers, complimentary toiletries and premium towels.
