Set in the picturesque Devon village of Lee on the South West Coastal Path is The Old Apple Store. This luxury self-catering barn by the sea perfectly blends rustic design and modern living and sleeps up to four guests.
After walking up the steps onto the wooden terrace those staying enter the property on first floor level. Here the open plan living space is the social hub of the holiday home. With wooden beams overhead, guests can relax on the comfy sofa in front of the Smart TV while the wood burning stove keeps everyone cosy and warm. The barn benefits from full central heating. At the other end of the room is the kitchen area, which is well equipped with an Aga Rangemaster, electric oven and hob, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, and Nespresso coffee machine. There is also a dining table and chairs and utility room with washer/dryer. There is an outdoor rack to dry wetsuits
Also on the first floor is the first of the two bedrooms - a spacious double. Heading down the spiral staircase then leads to the second bedroom, which can either be a super-king or twin depending on who is staying. This room also has a Smart TV with Amazon Firestick. Both bedrooms have luxury Egyptian cotton linen to guarantee a comfy night's sleep. Finally, there is a family bathroom with a bath and a shower.
As beautiful as The Old Apple Store is inside, things really get impressive when stepping outside. Situated in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and with stunning views across the surrounding countryside, the decked wooden terrace is the perfect place to relax and unwind. There is an outdoor table and chairs for alfresco dining prepared on the Weber gas barbecue, while a lower deck is home to the cedar hot tub, the ideal place to relax and unwind after a long day. The garden is dotted with trees, shrubs, and wildflowers to allow you to connect with nature.
There really is no need for a car as the beautiful Lee Bay with its beach is just a few minutes away on foot. Those staying can also take a short walk into the village to enjoy the characterful Grampus pub. However, for those who do want to venture a little further afield then Ilfracombe with its art galleries is three miles north, while to the south is Woolacombe with its fantastic surf, bars, and restaurants.
Please note that the property is not suitable for children under the age of 10 and pets are not permitted
