Both narrowboats, Miss Ellie and Moonraker, boast wood-fired hot tubs available for separate hire, allowing you to relax and unwind amidst the serene backdrop of Northumberland's famous dark skies. Equipped with fire pits, brick BBQs (charcoal required) and outdoor seating, you can rest up in peace, appreciating your surroundings with your loved ones and a nice glass of wine or hot chocolate.
Should the weather turn inclement, fear not; ample indoor seating within the cosy confines of the narrowboat ensures you can stay dry and snug while still savouring the scenic views.
Located within their own private field on a working farm, the narrowboats promise a truly unique glamping experience that will leave a lasting impression. The farm, home to cereal crops, silage production, cattle, pigs and 14 wind turbines, offers a glimpse into rural life in Northumberland.
While farmyard activities commence half a mile away, rest assured that any noise disturbance is kept to a minimum, allowing you to enjoy a tranquil retreat.
Upon arrival, you’ll be provided wth marshmallows for toasting around the fire pit, along with a starter kit featuring treats from The Northumbria Bakehouse, ensuring a warm welcome. Essential kitchen amenities, fluffy towels, bedding and pre-warmed electric heaters await you, ensuring a comfortable stay from the moment you arrive. WiFi is also available onboard both boats.
Guests are encouraged to explore the farm on foot or by bike, sticking to designated roads to minimise disruption to crops and livestock. For a picturesque outing, follow the gravel road to the hilltop, where a picnic amidst stunning views of the Northumberland Coast and The Cheviots awaits.
Venture out and uncover the culinary treasures of Northumberland at charming bistros like Carnaby’s, conveniently located just a stone's throw away from your accommodation.
