Relax and unwind in this peaceful, stylish property set amongst 170 acres of beautiful farmland and countryside. The Library Barn is a stunning space with vaulted ceilings and timber beams providing a contrast to the calming neutral colour scheme.
Light pours into the beautiful living and dining area through the fabulous minaret-shaped glass doorway. Sit bathed in sunshine while relaxing at the wooden dining table fully laden with breakfast goodies and pots of steaming coffee, whilst plotting the day's activities. Perhaps a wander around the grounds, a dip in the lake or explore the pretty local towns and villages, or simply hang out in this lovely property.
The living space is filled with comfortable, large sofas all positioned around the log burning fire. It is the ideal place to kick off the shoes, put feet up and chill in the relaxing warmth of the fire with a good book in one hand and a glass of wine in the other. And for entertainment, switch on the projector to enjoy favourite movies while snuggled on the sofa.
For mealtimes and snacks the uncluttered, well-equipped kitchen, has everything required to create wonderful meals. With its abundance of picture windows and neutral decor, it is a peaceful environment for stress-free cooking.
There are two double bedrooms at the barn, one is handily on the ground floor which is ideal for those who prefer not to negotiate stairs. The beautiful wooden bed has a stunning arched headboard and high-quality mattress dressed with crisp white linens. Pull open the patio doors which lead out to the gardens, hop back into bed and enjoy the fresh air, bird song and morning light as it streams into the room.
Upstairs, the second double is no less spectacular with a glass balustrade looking over the living area and a Juliette balcony where guests can greet the day, hugging a coffee and breathing in the clean air.
There is so much to discover and do in the immediate grounds, with plenty of walking paths, a sauna and seven acre lake for wild swimming. Nearby Frome is well-worth a visit too. This traditional market town is full of independent shops, galleries and great pubs and restaurants. Enjoy coffee and cake at the Rye Bakery, browse Frome Independent - the monthly market, before heading for dinner at Archangel.
