Nestled on the edge of the picturesque Lincolnshire Wolds, a stunning Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, you can book one of these amazing campervans for an unforgettable getaway. Each one sleeps two guests and they are all uniquely designed to provide a blend of vintage charm and modern comfort. With cosy interiors, distinctive decor and all the comforts you need, you’ll have the perfect base to explore the rolling hills of the Wolds and the nearby sandy beaches.
Up first is Peggy Sue, a 1955 26ft Airstream Cruiser. This is a true retro icon with its gleaming aluminium curves. Once the epitome of luxury caravanning in the USA, Peggy Sue now combines timeless 50s charm with modern comfort. With its original interior stripped away, the owners have transformed her into a stylish hideaway, complete with a king size bed, cosy sofa and a vintage dinette set. Think pale blues, soft pinks and a touch of chrome, evoking the spirit of a 50s American diner. She was lovingly crafted in Ohio, and while her vintage appeal is alive and well, every modern convenience is right at your fingertips.
Next is Alabama, a 1971 Chevy Mobilux RV. It’s hard not to love her original driver's seat and dashboard – they’re a snapshot of a bygone era. Inside, they’ve embraced the groovy vibes of the 70s, decking her out in bold oranges and browns. With a king size bed and comfy seating, Alabama invites you to kick back and unwind. And yes, there’s a disco ball and a lava lamp, just for fun.
Gee Gee is the youngest member of the gang – the 1994 Iveco Race Horse Transporter. After a sleek face lift in British racing green, she’s now decked out with wood-panelled walls and a countryside horsey theme. The king size bed is perfect for resting after a day of adventure, and the owners have created a lovely little coffee deck overlooking the wildlife pond, made from the original loading ramp gates. It’s a sun trap – the ideal spot for your morning cuppa. Plus, with an enclosed garden, your furry friends can enjoy some supervised off-lead time too.
Dennis, a 1972 Converted Fire Engine, is a real showstopper. Once a trusted fire engine in Hampshire, Dennis now boasts a rugged industrial style with brick wallpaper, black metal curtain poles and the odd fire extinguisher for character. The original cab is home to a king size bed, where you can admire the two-tone wood panelling on the ceiling. Whether you’re reminiscing about his days of service or just soaking in the unique decor, Dennis is sure to leave an impression.
Finally, meet Willy, a 1973 Ford F250 Camper Special. A labour of love, Willy’s rebuild was largely completed by Will Watson, after whom he’s named. Though compact on the outside, Willy is surprisingly spacious inside, earning him the nickname 'tardis-like.' He’s the only one of the gang with its original interior, which has been enhanced with a few thoughtful additions like Mexican blanket-style sofa cushions. Plus, the cab’s still open for you to slide onto the bench seat and pretend you’re at a drive-in movie.
Situated on the edge of the stunning Lincolnshire Wolds, these unique campervans offer the perfect escape surrounded by rolling hills and breathtaking natural beauty. Just 15 minutes from the coast, you can explore 50 miles of sandy beaches or enjoy scenic walks and cycling along the Viking Way. Local pubs such as The Fleece Inn and The Bell Inn are perfect for a pint, while nearby attractions include the Skegness Aquarium, Batemans Brewery and the historic Gunby Hall. For wildlife lovers, visit Mablethorpe Seal Sanctuary or Woodside Wildlife Park.
