At the end of a long private lane in the heart of Cornwall’s idyllic countryside, you’ll find this beautifully converted barn. Surrounded by open fields, four acres of pretty gardens and a tranquil lake, this is the perfect spot to escape the hustle and bustle. Relax on your private terrace or head down to the lake to rustle up some lunch on the BBQ. If you fancy venturing out and exploring some of Cornwall, you’ll be spoilt for choice with things to see and do. Located halfway between the north and south coasts, miles of spectacular coastline and beaches are within easy reach, as well as beautiful gardens, cathedrals and castles. After a day of exploring, you’ll be able to put your feet up back at The Dairy in front of a roaring fire.

Inside The Dairy, you’ll find a cosy hideaway for two. A welcoming atmosphere is created by rugs laid over traditional Cornish slate and wood floors, warm lighting and comfy soft furnishings. There’s a built-in kitchen, fully equipped for a self-catering holiday, including a dishwasher and a coffee machine. Move through to the living and dining room and you’ll find a sofa and an armchair to sink into in the evenings in front of a wood burning stove.

Head upstairs and you’ll find a galleried landing area with a writing desk and some more armchairs which makes a lovely spot to relax with a book. The bedroom features a luxurious super-king size bed which can be made up as twin singles if you prefer. There are beautiful views over the surrounding fields from both sides of the bedroom and there’s a shower room next door.

Outside, is your own private and fully fenced terrace area where you can soak up a bit of the Cornish sunshine. You’re also welcome to explore the beautiful four-acre gardens beyond and enjoy a picnic or a BBQ down by the lake. There are utensils, charcoal and matches in the summerhouse and even some vegetables fresh from the garden will be available when they’re in season. There’s a public footpath that takes you through the fields, so you can enjoy a countryside stroll straight from the front door.

If you can tear yourself away from your peaceful little bolthole, there’s plenty to explore nearby. The closest attractions are The Lost Gardens of Heligan and The Eden Project but you're also nicely placed to explore Trewithen and Trelissick. You're also a short drive from the charming towns and villages of St Mawes, Padstow, Falmouth, Fowey and Mevagissey.
