Contemporary barn conversion with a hot tub and access to a spa, set in rural Somerset and perfect for big groups.
Set in the pretty Somerset village of West Bradley, The Cider Barn, once home to a beautiful old cider press, has been transformed into luxury accommodation for up to 12 guests. The thoughtful restoration of the building has maintained much of its original charm, while big open spaces and high ceilings lend themselves to contemporary interior design. There’s a huge open-plan living and dining space inside and another dining area in the garden, perfect for entertaining large groups, along with a hot tub. You’ll also have access to the Sedum Spa, just 40 metres from the house, with an indoor swimming pool, sauna, gym and treatment rooms.
The open-plan living, dining and kitchen area is the social hub of the house with big comfy sofas and room for 14 around the dining table. The space feels bright and airy with a double-height ceiling over the living area and huge windows on either side, letting in plenty of natural light. The large sliding doors out onto the patio allow you to extend this space outdoors in the warmer months, cooking on the BBQ and making the most of the quiet rural surroundings.
After a long walk in the countryside surrounding West Bradley, sit back in the private hot tub in the garden or nip over to the spa. You’ll be able to book yourself in for a treatment, relax in the sauna or simply lounge by the pool.
When it’s time to wind down in the evenings, there are six bedrooms to choose from, each with its own distinct style and ensuite bathroom. You’ll find two twin rooms and a king size double on the ground floor and one twin and two king size doubles on the first floor. This means there’s plenty of flexibility for large groups with a room to suit everyone.
There’s lots to do and explore in the area and the owners will be happy to book you in for a range of activities locally or on site, from archery and axe throwing to cocktail classes and wine tasting. Go for long walks amidst the rolling Somerset hills or discover the rich local history in the nearby town of Glastonbury. Learn about the legend of King Arthur with a trip to Glastonbury Abbey or hike up to the Tor for breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding countryside.

Leave a reviewMyself and 10 ladies stayed at this beautiful property for my 30th Birthday celebration. Every inch of that house was stunning, super clean and luxurious. Everyone in my party thought it was the most beautiful home they’ve ever seen. The beds were more comfortable than any 5* hotel we’ve stayed in. Honestly its a Gem. The spa is only around the corner from the house and everyone thought it was a great addition to our stay. Love love love this property and will love to experience it in the summer.
