If you’re looking for a relaxing break in an incredible location, Stay on the Bay is the perfect property for you. The stunning end terraced house is moments from the Strangford Lough - a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty - and boasts breathtaking, panoramic views across the bay and to the distant Mourne Mountains.
The house is just as impressive as the surroundings. Its recently refurbished interior is finished to a very high standard and there are quality furnishings and stylish décor throughout. A real home away from home, it has everything you could need for a memorable stay.
On the first floor is the bright and spacious living, kitchen and dining area. It has a cosy lounge with comfy seating, an open fireplace to keep you cosy and a TV for movie nights. The well-equipped kitchen has everything you'll need to whip up a feast, and there's a nice dining table where guests can eat together. Large doors open out onto the balcony, which has a high table, stools and a swing chair – the perfect spot to kick back and take in the incredible scenery.
Downstairs you’ll find the two bedrooms, both with comfy king size beds (the second bedroom can be separated into two singles) and bay views. The larger bedroom leads out onto the large patio which is right on the edge of the water and has a rattan sofa, a fire pit and more spectacular views. There is also a bathroom with a walk-in shower (toiletries and fluffy towels are provided). For an extra lavish experience, there is the added option to rent a hot tub.
The property is in the ideal location to explore the Ards Peninsular and has great access to Greyabbey, Cloughey, Portaferry and Strangford. Strangford Lough is literally on your doorstep; a beautiful marine reserve with a myriad of scenic walks, as well as opportunities for fishing, birdwatching, horse riding and sailing.
The quaint village of Kircubbin is a short walk away. There you'll find shops to stock up on holiday essentials and some fantastic eateries, including the Saltwater Brig pub, which serves up excellent food and a great pint of Guinness. Also nearby is the historic village of Greyabbey and its famous 12th century Cistercian Abbey, and the National Trust property at Mount Stewart, renowned for its beautiful house and garden. And finally, fans of Game of Thrones won’t want to miss out on a visit to Castel Ward, the location where Winterfell was filmed.
