This amazing home in Dumfries and Galloway is perched on the edge of a picturesque beach offering amazing sea views across to the Murray Isles. Sleeping up to six guests, this charming retreat offers groups of friends or family a delightful stay that makes use of open plan living and modern amenities.
You’ll love the sleek living room with its super-comfy armchair sitting next to the feature fireplace where you can stay toasty and warm all year round. This room also has huge picture windows that look out over the garden framing the incredible sea views. The lounge area also has two big comfy sofas, making it an ideal place to socialise together after a day spent on the sand.
The open plan living area also features a fantastic kitchen, with a big kitchen island where you can perch and keep your designated chef company. This kitchen itself is amazingly well-equipped with a double oven and all the modern amenities you’ll need to prepare delicious meals during your stay. And when it comes to meal times, the chunky dining table sits next to another picture window meaning you can enjoy a feast with a view. Or, if the weather's warm, be sure to dine alfresco on your outdoor dining table that means you can enjoy meals whilst breathing in the fresh sea air!
When night falls, Airds Bay Beach House has three lovely bedrooms on offer. The star of the show is the incredible master bedroom with its charming decor and huge windows offering yet more amazing views. This room also has its own balcony, should you wish to sit out with your morning coffee and gaze out over the sea.
There is also a king size bedroom on the ground floor, which is ideal for people with accessibility needs and the final bedroom is a large bunk room. Guests staying have access to a ground floor shared bathroom with a walk-in shower and a large, super-stylish upstairs shower room with another walk-in shower. The ground floor also has a bootroom and a wetroom.
When night falls you'll be delighted to know that you're situated in a designated Dark Sky Reserve, meaning you are able to spot the amazing array of stars above.
When it comes to filling your days, Sandgreen - in Dumfries and Galloway - offers beautiful coastal scenery and plenty of outdoor activities Sandgreen also has a safe, sandy beach, that is perfect for swimming, sailing and kayaking.
Visitors can enjoy exploring the nearby Cardoness Castle, which provides panoramic views and the area is also ideal for nature walks, especially around Fleet Bay, and the Cally Gardens are perfect for plant enthusiasts. Gatehouse of Fleet is also well worth a visit and has a good choice of cosy pubs, good cafes and restaurants. Golfers can also visit nearby courses like Gatehouse Golf Club. Wildlife lovers should explore the Galloway Forest Park, which offers trails, wildlife spotting, and Scotland's first Dark Sky Park. And if you fancy trying your hand at something new, why not give canyoning a go at Galloway, or take part in a cheese making or foraging course?
