Retaining many of its original features, while cleverly introducing plenty of modern comforts, St Edmunds Church certainly has the wow factor. From the organ pipes to the stone font dining table, everywhere you look tells the story of the building’s past.
The open plan living space, with its intricate panel windows, high ceilings and exposed beams, forms the heart of the property. The homely lounge area has a stunning stone fireplace, fabulous chandelier and a flat screen TV with Freeview and Netflix. Here you can cosy up on the comfy leather sofa or sumptuous cuddle chair, while taking in your spectacular surroundings.
The spacious kitchen area, with its unique font dining table and grand dining chairs, is fully equipped with everything you’ll need for your stay. This means the designated chef will find whipping up delicious meals a breeze, to be enjoyed in style. When it comes to bed time, the two double bedrooms have been designed with comfort in mind to help aide a good night’s sleep, and the high-spec bathroom boasts a walk-in rain shower for added luxury.
Stepping outside, you’ll discover a south facing patio with a dining table for alfresco meals and loungers for relaxing on a sunny day. With spectacular views over open fields, it’s the perfect spot to sit and watch the grazing sheep and horses as birdsong fills the air.
Walking around this charming church is a delight for the eyes as you’ll spot many interesting artefacts, including a suit of armour, a church lectern cloth and a hanging brass monkey. Other welcome features in this atmospheric accommodation include underfloor heating, off street parking and an EV charging point.
Located in the peaceful, coastal village of Fraisthorpe, St Edmunds Church is just a mile’s walk from a lovely, wide, sandy beach. Here you can take a scenic stroll along the flat stretch of sand or the clifftops, brave a refreshing dip in the North Sea or enjoy a bite to eat in the rustic but contemporary café. A few miles away you’ll find the traditional seaside town of Bridlington, with its elegant promenade, historic harbour and independent shops, and further afield is the ever popular Scarborough.
