This luxury beachfront house is oozing with a sophisticated, urban style and brings Long-Island vibes to the bohemian Whitstable seaside. Sitting right next to the windswept beach, overlooking the lapping ocean waves, Sea Sunset Cottage is perfect for classy, coastal days. Stroll along the rugged beach and soak up the sublime ocean views, exploring the working harbour and tasting the just-caught seafood. Discover its independent shops and artisan markets, before retreating to your balcony for the epic coastal sunsets.
The contemporary pad is part of an exclusive development, and is hidden down a narrow lane with steps down to the seafront. Its modern interiors match its stunning panoramas and pair a minimalist look with subtle coastal touches. Moody blues and greys compliment the crisp, reflective whites, while glass panels and massive windows bathe it in natural light.
Relax in your first floor living room with its open-plan design, gathering around the sink-in sofas and lighting the glass-fronted fire. Look out for the gorgeous armchairs and the statement prints, or the chic furniture and arty hints. Throw open the patio doors to feel the salty breeze, sitting out on the balcony and listening to the soothing sounds of the sea.
The state-of-the-art kitchen will impress even ardent cooks and has a stylish dining table to add to its polished look. An honesty pantry is on hand to get you started, and is packed with delicious food from the local markets.
A separate, ground floor lounge is a cosy, additional snug and has patio doors out onto the seafront, garden deck. Fire up the BBQ and dine alfresco with a view, sunbathing for hours and watching the tide roll in to you.
Three sea-view bedrooms complete the accommodation and include a master top-floor double and two ground-floor double bedrooms. Each is a calming sanctuary with an indulgent finish, boasting plush, sink-in beds and sleek en-suite bathrooms. The ground floor rooms even have doors onto the vibrant garden terrace, while the master hideout has its own Juliet balcony.
Spend relaxed days in your designer retreat, drinking in the serene coastal vistas and spilling out onto the beach. Paddle in the ocean or go rock pooling along the shores, windsurfing in the waves or cycling along the Crab and Winkle Way. Stop off for some famous, local oysters or for a drink beside the sea, taking the short walk into town with its thriving arts scene. The historic city of Canterbury is also just a few miles away, as are the Victorian delights of the beautiful Herne Bay
