Just a couple of miles from Ilfracombe on the north Devon coast, the Ravendere Retreats Treehouse sits under a canopy provided by a quartet of mature beech trees. With a stunning interior and inviting deck area, it offers a wonderfully secluded and stylish break for two.
Set in 12 acres of woodland with beautiful valley views, Ravendere Retreats is just a short stroll from the village of Lee. Nature is all around you, adding to a sense of peace and tranquility, and the treehouse itself has been designed and furnished to a very high standard.
You are likely to want to enjoy your meals out on the deck, where a wood-fired pizza oven and gas barbecue await you. There is a dining table and chairs, and a pair of leather lounge chairs to retire to after dinner and enjoy the forest view.
There’s more space to eat inside, with a kitchen area that's complete with a large window looking out onto the deck. Essentials including a kettle and Nespresso coffee machine are provided. The main living area is cosy and comfortable, warmed by a wood-burning stove, and providing entertainment with a selection of DVDs and games. It’s a lovely spot to curl up with a book as well as enjoy a movie or some TV.
A very special bedroom features an irresistible king-size bed with roll-top bath just a few steps away. You can enjoy the stunning valley views straight from the tub, and this romantic room also has the use of a separate bathroom with walk-in waterfall shower. Complimentary Korres toiletries are provided, along with Egyptian cotton towels, bathrobes and bed linen. You’ll also have all you need to get ready for a night out with a dressing area complete with screen and dressing table.
If all that wasn’t enough, the treehouse is also within a 10-minute walk of the local pub, The Grampus, ideal for a pint and a home-cooked meal. The secluded and dog-friendly beach at Lee Bay is just 15 minutes away and makes a lovely spot for an evening stroll.
You will be well-placed for Woolacombe’s highly regarded beach too – the place to be for surfers or just those who fancy a picnic in scenic surroundings. Ilfracombe’s pretty harbour is complemented by some excellent restaurants and offers boat trips to nearby Lundy Island, with all sorts of wildlife-spotting opportunities along the way.

This is a really special place where every tiny detail has been thoughtfully designed. It has got to be one of the best bath tub views in the world! We will be booking to return next year!
